hello friends.. I know people like to have pets.. Specially I have seen lots of people who like to have a dog in their house.. Purpose can be any like security or liking. But should they allowed in home.. My uncle having dog (Alsatian dog).. ( just because of their children likings ).. But it is not good trained so they do dirtiness at their home.. Isn't it bad for health. I had listen that we can have breathing problems because of dogs. is it true ??I think such dogs should be keep out of the home. They should be in garden area or others.. I even like dogs as pet.. But not at the risk of health..What you think about this ???

It all depends on how your dog/s are trained, sweetie. My dogs are allowed in the house as they will go outside to do their thingies. And they are clean as they love water, so i can bathe them whenever i want. I will tell my 2 brats you don't like them in the house, okay. TATA.

They are so spoiled already, sweetie. They will never forgive me if i stop them from coming into the house. I won't say your uncle's dogs are a health risk, but they have to be bathed. It is more unhealthy for them as for humans. They need that bath to keep away ticks and fleas.

Hi akp100, There is nothing wrong with have a dog in the home as your house pet. Millions, even more, people have all sorts of pets in their homes. If you have an indoor pet and you are allergic to pet dander and other allergents that causes sneezing, wheezing and coughing, then you probably should not have an indoor pet. However, people who have pet who live indoor usually have a prescription medication to help control the allergies. Most people that I know who own dogs that live inside treat them like family. That is, they take good care of them by giving them bathes and taking them to the doctor when then get sick. So, there is really no good reason why a person should not have a dog as a house pet. Dogs and cats have been labelled some of the best pets for elder people to have living in their homes to keep them company. Their companionship is one important role in helping the elders living a longer life

Hi akp100 I think dogs are fine animals to have as indoor pets. They can be trained very easily to not do naughty things in the house. They can be very helpful in life-threatening situations such as rescuing a drowning child from the pool or alarming the family if there is a fire in the middle of the night. Yes, I think they are excellent pet to have living in the house.

yeah... its very true... some people do treat their pets as family member.. Even my uncle's family member treat their both dogs as a family member.. Yes allergic can be the reason for breathing problems.. Well if they do trained well and cleaned everyday then may be they are not risky for health.. but otherwise better keep them away from rooms or home.

Hi akp100, Welcome to mylot. I always had dogs and they were allowed in my home. I trained them and took them out for walks so they did not do their stuff in my home. Yes, I imagine that could be unhealthy especially if it isn't cleaned up. I never had any health issues because of my dogs but I vacuumed and cleaned my house . I think if the dog is not trained right then that is the owners fault and not the dogs. Not everyone is like your uncle. The solution would not be to move the dog outside. It would be to find another owner for the dog.

well.. my uncle having love their dogs.. thats true they haven't give good training to them but thats because they are leaving in small town and i don't think in that place any good dog trainer available.. they are trying their best to train their dogs by him self.. and i guess he is doing well. About health issue yes they should be cleaned every day.. otherwise it can cause health wise problems.. But my uncles dog really get scared of water!!! So it is hard to bath them everyday..

Hi AKP Here in America we keep our dogs inside and out its not a problem just keep up with the dogs grooming and hygiene and its also a plus if the dog is trained for me personally I don't mind having a dog in the house but I don't like dogs on the bed because they do go outside and tend to get dirty by rolling around on the ground and sometimes even stepping in thier own feces as far as the health risk goes I think its pretty safe if their are certain areas of the house that the dog is not allowed on such as the bed

yes i notice the thing that mostly all people are saying that if dogs are well trained and if we keep them clean everyday then they are not risky for health wise. and I am glad to hear their answer.. But yes in bed, i will surely don't like that too.. Some area should be restricted like kitchen and bed as you mentioned.. other areas its okay if they are allowed..

There's really nothing wrong with having dogs at home as long as the owner is responsible enough in keeping the dog and the house clean. It really depends on the owner. If the owner can't maintain the cleanliness, I suggest that the dog will just stay outside the house to prevent the inside of the house from getting dirty. But the dog must also be given a bath everyday so that the members of the family who will play with the dog will not have any health risks.

But i have hear from someone that if we stay long in contact of dogs we can have breathing problems after long time.. I am not sure about it.. what you say about it??? Yes if we allowed them in home they should given bath everyday so we can avoid health risk.. For security purpose they are best. And also sometimes they do give us best company when we feel alone.. :)

hi akp100! I'm a pet lover and we keep our dogs inside our home. We even have four dogs but we never experienced such problem/s as what your saying. You know what? It depends on how you took and take care of them. Even not a trained dog could learn some few basic tricks (such as teaching them to pee/poop outside). If one really knows how to really take care of them (no offense with your uncle's side), one would not have any problem. Dogs are not just for "liking" or "guard" purposes, they even help humans reduce stress. According to study, dogs/pets even lenghthens our lives by 25-30%. But if one is allergic to any kind of pets, better avoid having one coz it worsens your lung problems-- this is regarding to what you've heard about breathing problems... Maybe they are allergic that's why they experienced such problem. ^_^

I must say thats really well answered response.. You have given very good information related to topic. And Thanks for that.. yeah allergic can be reason for breathing problem. And yeah if we can't handle our responsibilities towards pets we better don't have any. They should be clean every day and they should given proper training. And yes they can be our best company during our loneliness time. I wasn't aware with info that dogs can be reasons for lengthens our lives.. Is it for true... where you got this info.. Thanks for responding in such a good way.. :)

oh.. thats totally new for me.. So there is no scientific reason behind it... they do reduce our stress so because of that people life can be lengthens..

THANKS for the compliment akp 100! ^_^ I'm so flattered that you liked my response. I'm glad I could help! And yes it's true that pets could REALLY lenghthens our life span through reducing out stress, like for instances, if one does not have anyone to talk to at home, one could talk to her/his pet instead, pets could also make us happy in ways we can't explain- I've experienced this one.. I got these infos from a seminar with experts on pets and neurologists as well. ^_^ God bless! ^_^

Hi anand, I have the same opinion like you. I like dogs and had them as pet but I don't like the idea of keeping them inside the house. In my native place we have kennel for them outside the house. This may be one of the reasons for my disliking for keeping the dogs inside room/house. Since childhood I have seen and taught that dogs should be kept outside home. Here in this place my kids keep on saying that let us have dog as pet but I refused because here we don’t have enough space of us so there is no possibility to keep a dog with us.

Yeah you have made right decision.. because unless we having proper place for them it is better to avoid pets like dogs. Dogs can be risky health wise if we allow them in home for long. ( I have hear this thing from someone ).

I have three chihuahuas in my house, and they do not cause a problem. They will certainly let you know when they hear something outside. They are the best "alarm system" I have ever seen. LOL They are also fun to play with. They are my babies, and they are spoiled rotten. Life without them would be really boring...

In my country which is Singapore, most of the citizens are living in apartments/flats,so most likely we do keep our pets in our house. However, they are still people living in terrace/Bungalow,for them they have another choice to let their pets live at a shelter house customised for them at the garden. So it kinda depends.

yes.. thats a good point.. people who living in apartments haven't much more choice to keep their pets.. But what about health problems.. I have hear that Dogs can cause breathing problems and others.. Don't they????

yeah its good to have pet.. but we should take care of all important factors of having pets.. responsibilities will increase too much.. So its not that easy to have pet. but surely during loneliness they can be your best friend.. :)
