were you good, laid-back, serious, whatever? what did you get out of being a good, laid-back or serious student?

i was a very serious student from my earlier years until i was in my mid-university days. i guess it's innate for me to be reading a lot and be organized. when i was younger i never thought that having good study habits can help me gain academic honors. it was all about doing what i love best. but my last 2 years in college were very different. had been very hard already specially i had to juggle my time between studying and working full time. all i thought of was me getting passing grades; no more aspiring to be on top of the class because graduating was all that mattered to me at that time. all the hard work and diligence with my studies paid off well because for my third job (right after i graduated) i already got a junior exec position for the company i worked for. no pain, no gain :)

i love the attitude! if i'll feel tired of continuing my education, i'll read this comment.

thanks a lot! glad to bring inspiration. continuing your education is a good idea. it's either you invest on further studies to secure a good future or if you're really witty, just work hard to earn a promotion. if you're all about taking risks and have all the right resources to bank on, building a business is the right way to go. either of these, perseverance and putting your heart into whatever we do are always the keys to success. good luck! :)

i'm in between laid back and serious. i'm serious when it comes to passing my classes. i do have to admit. i've always been a "B" student. which i didn't like for awhile. now, im just working with it.

Actually, i'm still in college right now. As a student, I feel like I'm a combination of a number of different "student profiles". I want good grades, so i work hard and do what I need to do in order to get the marks I want. However, I'm also laid back to the extent that I'm sometimes willing to pass up on study (and class) time so that i can go out with my friends and have some fun. I think that for me, it's generally a battle of good grades and fun, which are both things that I really want to have. Hopefully I'll learn how to balance all those things eventually.

I was an average student in the field of studies and I was always more into extra curricular activities because I was a Drummer. It did also effect my study life but I somehow used to scrap the Merit result in my examinations.
