Can one person actually live just by working online?

I have made several attempts on trying to work and earn money online especially during those times when I don't have a job like right now. But ever since, I haven't made or earned that much money actually. I have joined Mylot and several other GPT/PTC sites. That's is why I came to ask if is it possible that you can live your life - buy food, pay the bills, some savings perhaps, and being able to do all these by having an online job as a source of income.

Yes I do believe that it is possible to make a living online. You would have to put a lot of hours into it though. I currently write articles for associatedcontent that earns me a decent amount of money each month. If I put more effort into writing more articles I could make 600 dollars a month, if I put a lot of effort into it I could even try for 1000 a month.

thanks oscar. are the links to the articles you've written for associated content also available in your blog? I'd like to read them so I could just have a clearer view of what is mostly being written and approved. thanks again!

Basically you write about what interests you. Then you submit the article and if they accept it they will pay you upfront. You also get 1.50 per 1000 page views. If they reject your article you can still submit it only for page views. They pay anywhere from 3-20 dollars per article. The average article will get you about 4 dollars. I really enjoy the site and have been using it for years. I have yet to make the 1000 a month since that would be a ton of effort but Im sure it could be done. Many others are actually doing it. The most that I have made on there in a month so far is 450 dollars. You can check out my blog for other sites that I use as well. If you like it you can follow it since my blog is constantly being updated and I add a lot of different sites to it. I hope this helps. :)

Hello! I have been working full time online since March of this year. It's been only six months but I could say that I've gone through a lot and now I already feel comfortable with my online earning gigs. It may not be that stable, but you should have the patience and dedication to succeed my dear. At first, I concentrated more on writing for academic writing sites. I am still a member of these sites but I do this more as a filler job now. At this time, I am more focused on finding jobs on odesk and fortunately, my contracts have been successive, sometimes even reaching 3 contracts simultaneously. More or less I have been earning a minimum of $100 a week during the past 6 weeks. You can have view the sites I work for on my website attached to my profile. Check it out when you have time. :)

wow! that's great. I think I have registered with o-desk before but I didn't quite know what to do about it. I really wish I could do it just like you did because I'm trying to decide between taking another job or taking this work online thing seriously.

It depends on a few things like your location and cost of living. Americans have it easier to earn online with surveys etc but at the end anyone can make a good living online if they have the desire to work hard and do well. My online income could pay for about 50% of my living expenses and thats cause my cost of living is not low at all. If I worked harder online I could prob pay for everything but I have a full-time job and spend many hours studying on the side.

That's good to know. I've heard of people earning a lot online but there's no one that I personally know and could testify that this online thing is really pays. Though I'm really trying to stick it out with some of the sites that I joined right now like MyLot. I could use some sideline income.

it could be possible. but definitely would involve a lot of work. i think more work than a regular of from home job. you know? just participating in mylot is more work than some people's jobs lol. but again its, possible. but not for me. either that, or im looking in the wrong places to make money. i make $140-160 a month online. that, my friend could not possibly help me in my daily living! its a start though.

hi there! i believe that its really possible as long as you have the knowledge and the skills. i do know people around me who are earning really good online that they actually leave their offline job, i just don't know how much they exactly earn monthly but i know its a big amount that he was able to hire people to work along with him and pay them. hat they do is more on link buildings, seo things like that, and he's starting to make his own ebook to sell...and many things.

Yeah, you can! You can even get rich! But it's pretty hard :)). If you got some writing skills make a blog, or a website if you think you can be a webmaster, or only if you have a good idea for a site just make it. Forget about being someone else's employee and think about how you can get other people to be your employees.

I am an addicted internet user. I won't have to lose my time when I am the front of my computer. I won't pass the chances of getting online. I tried to find source of income and information of how to make money online. I ever visited some website that offers big money through internet making money online, but most of the websites asked us to pay for subscription members. But, what I think if we want to have much money, we have to sacrifice our time and money as well. As I said in the previous sentences, pay for subscription member, but they guaranteed your earning will never be dissatisfied, but if you want to, you can log on to Robert Allen. He is one of well-known gurus in the world. Hoped it worked for you.

hello aniakim, Yes it is possible to earn online but you have to be careful of those websites that promise you on earning thousands a month and always read reviews on the website before signing up because sometimes you just end up paying more on it than earning. Thats a lesson that I had learnt when I sign up for one of the website. But yes it is possible to earn a decent income working online you just need to find the legit websites, happy earning :)

It is possible, but it is pretty hard to get there, and most people do not reach that point. It takes a lot of time and effort, and you should count on having to try to earn money online for AT LEAST a year before you can do it full time. For most people it takes longer though. So if you are really serious about this, you need to be patient and work very hard in the beginning.
