How do you rate someone?

Oh dear, I have had lot of nice mylotters commenting on subjects I have put across but the mylot rules say about rating people that do this, how does this work? Sorry I am a bit thick when it comes to things like this.

Well, myLot only says to rate positive if you find the topic, responses, comments, or photos useful. If not, you can let it unrated. But if you find the topic, responses, comments, or photos not useful, and you feel it negatively impacts the myLot community, you should rate it negatively. I use to rate negatively the posts that have nothing to do with the discussion where they are posted. I also don't think that responses like "yes", or "no", or "me too" don't bring any good to the discussion, so I rate them negatively. You can find more about discussion rating system by reading the faqs here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx

You're welcome. I think it's better to learn the rules from the beggining, otherwise you may violate some rules and your account can be deleted. And I'm sure nobody wants that. Please try to find some time to read the guidelines and the TOS, this way you'll be a good myLotter from the beggining. Good luck!

I always rate positively to every person. Because I don’t want to hurt anybody if their will be effected on their rating in negative. Because I have faced many times this situations in mylot. So I have experienced about this what feeling comes when anybody rated you in negative. So I never rated anyone in negative.
