Our first baby was born 2 years after we got married. Hubby's name is Louie, and my name is Jo Ann Lyn. We wanted our baby's name to have both our names on it, so we came up with LOUISE JASHLYN. She looks a lot like her father so we picked "Louise" as her nickname, but her little cousins love to call her LJ. How about you, what will you name your child, and why?

No kid yet.. nor married but my name is Michelle. My boyfriend's name is Anthony. We want to name our kids with our name letters.... Michelle for me, I want to name my baby girl Madelyn. For Another, I want to name my baby boy, Aiden. :) No reason just because I like the name. I like girl names ending in --LYN not sure why. Jashlyn is unique and nice :)

Hi, cute name....well we Indian Hindus generally name after the deities. now a days people name them after actors and actresses or just like you, mother father name combo... Hindu deities have many names................ We named our daughter after the powerful goddess Parvathi, she is lady warrior - killing the demons and providing with confidence and strengthen among women. Hahah , we do not want our daughter to be a warrior but I liked the name "Bhargavi" one of the names of goddess Parvathi, and my son after the lord of romance and Saviour Krishna hahha .....this lord is the most lovable one .....my son is christened "Keshava" Well hope u will be able to pronounce and understand these naming culture.

Thanks for sharing. Indian names are very interesting, like that of your daughter: warrior (it would be very nice to tell her this info in the future)... I personally like the name Krishna, I was not really sure of its meaning and origin (thanks for the info), but I just like the sound of it. I think it has strength yet sweet at the same time.. :P

I have a son, now 7 years old. Boys first, my husband and I gave the name of the Squall Putra Adelio. We give it, because we have a reason. Squall, we take away from the main character of Final Fantasy games. During my pregnancy, my husband and I play this game. So we decided to name our son Squall. Putra, is the name for a boy in Indonesia. Adelio, Ade is a bodybuilding athlete in Indonesia, my husband is a fan of this athlete. Lio we take away from my child stars. Leo but we should replace it with lio.

When my husband and I start our family next year we plan to name our children Rose Marie if it is a girl and Jeffrey Thomas if it is a boy. I love the name Rose Marie and as for Jeffrey Thomas for my late uncle who passed away three years ago. I love the name you picked out for your baby.

My first and only daughter's name is Kish Yve Madeline. *sigh* What a long name and I worry that she will have difficulty writing and spelling it out in the future. Like in exams, on important documents or so... But anyway, Kish is the father of the most handsome and wealthiest man in the bible who is Saul. I saw this name in 1 Samuel verse 9. And I paired it with a feminine name "Yve" pronounced as "eve"... Madeline is the name of my mother-in-law. My husband hurriedly inserted it in the birth certificate but with my permission. He said that " there is still space on the birth certificate and wanted to add her mother's name on it ". I said, okay fine it is up to you (but i thought it would be too long). Her nickname now is "KYM". The first letters of her very long fullname. I would liked it better that her nickname was "K.Y." =(

If its a boy I will name him Terr. If its a girl then I will name her Tiva. These names come from one of my favorite movies of all time: Fantastic Planet. The movie left a lasting impression on me and I think those are nice names for a boy or girl.

Interesting you should ask! Most parents think they get to choose their baby's name, but this is not always the case. Those of us who understand Reincarnation believe that before rebirth we get to choose our place of birth, our parents, our name, and even many experiences of our new life. When a child is named after a deceased relative,(or so it appears) we believe that the child is a reincarnation of this particular relative. Its interesting to note how many of that deceased relative's traits, are present in this child's life. So next time you are searching for a name just relax, and perhaps the name will find the child!

I've already had all of the children that I will have in my life. My daughter (my first born) is named Kathryn Teresa. She was named this after my great-aunt Coot (Katherine) and after my really close friend Reesee (Teresa) who was the one that encouraged me to actually give the man that would be my husband a chance. My son's name is Paul Thomas he is named after a friend of mine from college that passed away and I promised his parents that I would name my first son after him and Thomas is his Daddy's first name.

I have two girl names picked out for my first girl and one boy name. The girl names that I picked out are Malia (ma-lee-ah)Michelle and Melania (ma-lawn-e-ya)Lynn, The reason I picked these names out is because they are both exotic names to the USA and I do not want my child to have the same name as another child in her class. Both of the names are of French origin. I chose Carmine John for my sons name because The whole name is Italian and I am half Italian. Also, John has been a name in my family for centuries and I am not about to stop that now. I also like that there are not too many boys named Carmine anymore. I just really enjoy the way the names sound unique. it was annoying for me in school because there were three girls in my class with the same name.

I have always thought it would be awesome to name my first boy Mathias. The main reason I'm thinking is because it's a freakin awesome name, but also because he'd have a notmal nickname, Matt. Then wehn people ask if his full name is Matthew, he can say, "no, it's Mathias." Kinda cool.

I'm not sure, but I love the name Antonia. I will fight for it. I am hoping for Antonia (after my great great aunt) and Nova Spirita (after my nana), so that her name would be Antonia Nova Spirita :) ... can you tell we're very italian? Haha.

Hi there, i have one child and she was turning 3 this november. Anyway, her name was really long 4 names all in all and it has 23 letters if i'm not mistaken. Each names has different meaning, forgive me i don't want to put the name of my daughter. But as i was saying each name has different meaning the first one which starting to letter K was came to her father, the second name starting to M was came from my name. The third name was came from a cousin of her father and the last one was came from her lolo. I know its weird thing i mean my comment was hard to understand but hope you know what i am saying.

Hi, When I got the news that I pregnant, both me and my husband was thinking what is the best name for our child. Only when my gynae has confirmed my baby gender, then we started to look for our baby name. We searched online and also flipped over for name books. We prefer to have simple name for our son, easy to remember and call. Since my husband is a big fans of Man United,so we named our son name as one of the Man U soccer player..
