If you have a visitor at your house and you do not have a guest room... would you let your guest stay at your room? would you offer that or you will let him/her just sleep on the couch?
For Filipinos i think they would normally let 'em sleep in their own beds. Filipino hospitality at its best. And the home owner would just sleep on the couch, sala, or sofa.
How about you, will you let them in your room?

Hi Chiyosan!.
If you come from big family with many relative like mine. We often had a visitor at my home, sometimes from our home town.
They come here sometimes just visiting, or seek for the best doctor if they want to get operated on certain disease, because in my town they are many good doctor with more reachable price than my home town.
Or just to take their children to university in my town, they will stay at my house for a week or more.

in my case, i don't have a guest room so to make them comfortable i would let them sleep in my bedroom but that would be good for one or two days only. I still want to have a privacy. But sometimes, some visitors are annoying, i mean some of them have attitude. You know what i mean? so it all depends.

I would want my guest to feel comfortable in my home. i would give them anything to see that they felt welcomed and at ease. i wouldn't give up my own room for them. A guest should have enough consideration for you not to take advantage.
