Season 10 Episode 1

Alison, Bob, and Jillian are back! I love this show because it is inspiring, and it’s amazing to see the changes in these contestants body. The personal stories are usually tearjerkers, and I get moist-eyed most of the time. I don’t cry while watching a show. Haha. You also learn about living healthy. I am not overweight, but I had some extra pounds to lose, and watching the show helped me to understand how to lose the weight effectively and healthily. Before I started watching the show I was 145 lbs, then I seriously started trying to lose some weight last February. Now I’m down to 130 lbs. 15 lbs in 6 months doesn’t sound impressive for sure, but I am proud that my weight right now is “stable”, I am not yo-yoing. And I don’t feel like I’ve turned my back on the foods I like to eat. I still eat anything that I want to eat, but in moderation. (I do splurge on foods sometime but I make sure I get to burn the calories on the following days). Wait, why are we talking about me? Let’s talk about the show! So this season, they changed the format again, and they got 3 people each from 7 cities, and they have them do a physical challenge in order to determine the 2 people who gets a spot in the ranch. The 3rd person doesn’t get a spot, although at the end of the episode they showed some clip that suggests that they may have a chance to get into the ranch later on. The physical challenges the 3 must partake in were either stepwalking (no idea what’s it really called) 500 times or running for 1 mile. Why did they give 2 different challenges? Which do you think is harder? I think the stepwalk is harder, because you have to lift your foot, while you can run a mile with minimal lifting. Don’t take my word for it. The 2 people in each city who made it were given the same colored t-shirts and it looks like they will be in pairs. In the past, the couples know each other, this time they don’t. At the end they hinted about a new way of weighing in, and they show the yellow line climbing up until 7 are below the yellow line. Ooooh… I think the bottom 7 will go in on the … uh… boardroom? They go to that place where they eliminate people and the 7 vote each other off. It’s an interesting change if that’s the case. But I am speculating. Why couldn’t they get all 3? That will be just 21 people. They can do multiple eliminations to accommodate them. Maybe it will be tough for Bob and Jillian to train them? Then bring back Kim! I miss her. The contestants this time look beautiful and handsome, even with the weight. You can imagine how better their appearance will be after their weight loss. Jessica looks like (checking IMDB…) Rose McGowan! I want to see how she looks like after the show is over. Hopefully she makes it far in the game. We see some of the old contestants back again. Of the three, Mark and Danny seem to have kept their body in shape. Mike seem bigger than when his season ended, but it could be muscles. They weren’t that bad. At least they’re staying off of the obesity bandwagon. You know, it will be a great idea to bring back contestants who’ve had their weight back. Sort of like an All-Star edition of the show, although if you get back the weight you have lost, then you don’t seem like an All-Star to me. The first episode didn’t have too much about the game play because they spent it introducing to us the contestants. We’ll know more how the game is played in the coming episodes.

I didn't mind the challenge to make it to the ranch, but what I didn't like is that it looked like it was a surprise to the possible ranch canidates. Almost as if they already thought that they were already choosen to go to the ranch and then this challenge was just thrown at them. One of the people that didn't make it commented on how she made it this far only not to go. It seemed harsh.

Yea, I thought it was kind of harsh as well. You got there thinking your dream came true only to find out it's cut short. It's like that one time in the Amazing Race, where one team didn't even get to leave the States. Or like in Survivor Palau where Wanda and Jonathan were not picked and were eliminated from the game.

Hmm, I didn't think about it this way before, but there were one third of the people that were eliminated right off the bat. Hmm, I also heard rumors last year that they were trying to find another trainer for the show. Hmm, I wonder if they haven't taken the group of people that were "eliminated" right away kind of like they did with the first people that didn't make it in the season when Kim was there. It is an interesting twist in the game none the less and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Yes, I have been a huge Biggest Loser fan since starting to watch it at Season 2, and now I am even more hooked than ever. Every Tuesday night this is where you will find me for sure. And I just Love Bob Harper and what he does with everyone and how inspiring he is. After getting a chance to meet him in person and get his autograph with his Newest book makes it even better yet. But this was an interesting start and looks like there is going to be many twists and turns this yr. before it is all said and done. But Danny, Mark and Mike still look great and such an inspiration. Excited to see who they will show on here next.

I was glad to see past contestants, as it shows us people can keep the weight off. Each person looked good and looks like Mike has been lifting weights. I'm hoping college is going well for him. I like the change in the yellow line, as now we will be surprised when somebody leaves, as past seasons it was no surprise. People really didn't have a chance of staying and trying to talk others into keeping you really was useless. It was based on who you were friends with not anything else.
