What are the characteristic of a good employer?

Most of the employees are working hard for the company's progress. yet some employers do not appreciate them much, ad sometimes less considerate. where in fact they become rich because of their hardworking and dedicated employees. for you guys "what are the characteristic of a good employer?

A good employer should be fair with all his employees, giving all benefits due to them. A company wouldn't work without everybody, from the big bosses down to secretaries, to ordinary employees to the cleaners.. They should be fair with everybody and should not be biased, and should just not only give benefits to those they had selected. Everybody is working hard not only those they had chosen...Being FAIR I guess is a quality that a good employer must have.

and sometimes they do some deductions that are not really just....

In my opinion, the good employer remember that employees are the main value of the company. Employees should feel that they are treated with respect, have opportunities to learn new skills and grow their careers. The salary must be adequate to the qualifications and position in company. The good employer is able provide the stable employement without fear about future.
