I try to wish all my facebook friends happy birthday on facebook when they have a birthday. It is so simple and boring to just type Happy Birthday have a great day over and over again. What are some unique different ways to say Happy Birthday to friends ?

I would try to either find a site that does transalations and write it in a different language or I would write a nice message to enjoy their special day. Another way that you could do it would be to just say "It's your day - enjoy!" and they would get the messge. I hope that some of these ideas help you a lot.

I use a lot of different lines when wishing friends happy birthday. Just saying happy birthday is boring and out dated. I use lines such as, "Wish I could be there, hope it's a great one.", "Have an awesome day, you deserve it.", "Do some partying for me, best wishes." There are a lot more, but I'm sure if you have some ideas, you will be able to create your own fun ways to say happy birthday. If all else fails, Feliz Cumpleanos, works just as well.

I also like remembering my friends' birthday :) sometimes I greet them before, on the day & the day after :) and send it as a private message as well as in the common wall. I also greet them by phone, by e-mail, by card, by text and by facebook and if possible I make something personal for them like bake something or make a simple memorable useful stuffs with our pictures :) and I believe that as long as you remember your friend, it is never a boring thought because in this busy world of ours it's so sweet to be remembered. It makes your friend feel 100% special for being remembered :)

I usually just talk about a memory my friend and I have and then say happy birthday or make a joke of the friend that only me and the friend understands..

I agree with you. I hate writing the same thing over and over. Maybe try writing it in another language.
