My views on President Noynoy's Trip to US.

Aquino Speech - Proposing Global People Power in UN
Philippines
September 27, 2010 11:55pm CST
Hello Lotters, I might as well say everything in this discussion.. It was Noys trip after a long while a decade ago. had meet with the other WORLD LEADERS in the UN Summit in New Year. during the Assembly, he proposes GLOBAL PEOPLE POWER to encourage through other leaders of the world. but i wonder? i thought every other people followed or even imitated their own version of protest after seeing the FIRST ever people power revolution in the Philippines. what is this proposal? are others doing this already in not form of protesting? but voluntarism, i think. Not a referral LINK. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JWyScwuTeI IN his spare time, he ate Hotdog, Pizza at the food stands in New York as he trolls there. there were some critics stating that this was just publicity stunt to differentiate himself from the past administration and good points to the public.but in my view, he has the right to enjoy himself, even played computer game that involves car simulation or racing. So, what was one of the results in this US Trip. He was granted 2.8 or almost 3 billion worth of investment funds for future business and other business expansions. as a possible result, there will be more jobs for the people. that's good enough to hear. We Need to believe in Change. trouble with us is that we are always desperate. Have a great day.

Okey that's a good job. Though it's alright if he ate lunch at a restaurant the people won't mind as long as not as expensive compared to others. I's obvious eating hotdog for lunch that's why can be criticized as publicity stunt.

Yes it is a publicity stunt. It's aim is to portray the President as thrifty, and silently comment on the expensive dinner of PGMA before.

We'll it just show that the new President is not extravagant compared to the previous administration.Maybe, Pres. Aquino wanted to show how should people's money are spent. But the most important thing, we need a President who could lift up the status of the Filipino people. Which the Philippines are left behind in terms of development compared from the other Asian countries.

Hello Bing, It is indeed a good job. well, it's what he wanted to do in the first place. he hasn't been in the US for a very long time. i think things will go well for him a bit. criticisms has always been there, specially to those who can only do is to criticize and not do the effort.

hi letran it sounds like your President may really be trying to'helpyoiur people and I surely hope he uses that money he was given to help his own people and not to line the pockets of his fellow politicians 'Yes he does have the right to eat as he chooses and what he eats should 'not be as much concern as what he does with the money given to him

Hello Tiger-Aunt, For now, he's doing his job and being honest with the public in the usual way. well, it is freedom of expression/ or should i say "frustration" still, but they can't help it. the negative thing will never disappear, even with the new President, things are still on a bad shape. lets do our part to help the government.

I am now waiting for the jobs. I do hope that the young men in the squatters area be given jobs. I hope that the different municipalities, cities and towns, look into what they are good at, create industries beneficial to the constituents, and thereby be progressive. For example, the town of Rosario in Cavite could really make their smoked fish world class. A cousin in Canada craved for Philippine food and when he saw Salinas tinapa, he bought two right away, no matter how expensive, and had a real good lunch.

Hello There, THe report says it would focus more on Business Processing Outsourcing, Farming, Production and others. I am not so sure about exports, i haven't really been checking it yet. we still have a lot of entrepreneurs in this country, so i think it won't be long before more entrepreneurs are encourage to do business here.

I still hope that our country & us will be profited from the investment Pres.Nonoy got in his US trip.

They said he ate on the hotdog stand because he used to do it before. Publicity stunt or not, it didnt hurt anybody so people should stop criticizing. The investment funds granted to him is impressive. That means the other world leaders trust that he will do the Philippines some good. I just hope that it does go to investments and not on the pockets of the bureaucrats in position, or else that 3 billion will just add up to the dept of every Filipino citizen. Let's just cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Hello ddaguno, It's sad but i think there still some few grudges out there even though the lection is way over. all they can do is criticize and mention they're candidate should have been the President this and that. i feel so sad why people are living so much in the past. well, there is always the possibility.

No offense sweetie. He better make sure that investment is ploughed into the country or he will have more than a hard time explaining where it went and for what. Let's hope for once and for all you have a president with some brains. TATA.

Well said. Despite the many critics President Noynoy has been subject to, we us a nation must support the CHANGE that our new leader aspires for. This man "walks the talk" so to say. I pity people who continue to criticize him with bad publicity. The investment funds granted to him signifies that there is hope for the country.

Hello Gera, Well, Bad Publicity is what the Media did with the former President that led more people to hate her, even now most specially that she's a congresswoman. i believe the criticisms grew strong when the hostage taking strikes. it's really sad though but that's life. i hope people would stop whining and start helping the people.

Publicity or not, what the president did is something that gets the nod of majority of the Filipinos. It was a gesture that says that even a president can stroll and enjoy himself and won't feel a slight hint of guilt. It's just like hitting three birds in one stone, first he was able to get a huge funding which can help a lot a people and at the same time do something that he did when he was younger and that is to stroll the streets and eat hotdog and his countrymen give him a thumbs up for it. It just shows that you don't need to spend millions to make your image look good in fact all the president did was stroll the streets and buy a hotdog.

Hello Ybong, I agree, this is his right, no can attest to that. what are they gonna do if they go abroad, of course, it isn't always work. although it's not going to be for every one when it comes more one hundred thousand jobs, but at least that is a good employment estimate which is better than Glorias ambitious 10 million jobs before her term ended. which didn't happen.

The President did great! I haven't really know about the speech of mrs. clinton but in a radio station i listened, it sounds like clinton is more confident that the money is in this administration(the grant) compare to the previous one. Hopefully the money will be benefited by the people. Publicity or not eating hotdog in the street sounds fun! Bad thing nothing here :( , lolz.

Hello CHeravs, Well, they have been confident with the New Administration since he step in to the office. i think there was another founding that was granted by the US government funds against fighting corruption. so, this is probably second or third fund offer from the US Government i think.

You just cannot pleased everybody. Most of these critics are the very same people who wants PNoy to fail so that they can return to power. As they say : "absolute power corrupts, power corrupts absolutely". These people have corrupted their minds so much that they feel empty once outside the corridors of power.

Hello PinoyCity, I agree, we just can't pleaSe everybody. and it's so sad that until this day, some fanatics are still saying the "IFs" this and that. still grudging that their candidate should have won the election. they are indeed pitiful, wish i could slap them off and tell them to wake up..elections over and all we do is help each other now.
