We love to talk about things that are problem or things that go wrong, but i thought I'd let you in on a day that goes right. I has to run around town this morning. I had several things to do that I had never done before which meant I had to rely on information from others. The first one was the battery shop, my car key needed new batteries. This is a time when being a little old lady is very helpful. I just ask for help and act like I know nothing, which in this case is true. the young man was so helpful, he even got his boss to help me. All were so nice and solved the problem promptly. Then I was on my way. Next I had to have a picture enlarged, so I went to the copy place. Well I wanted it as large as I could get it so the technician worked with me, it took us about 30 mins to get the best they had to offer. Again service was prompt and went the extra bit to get me what I wanted. So next I had to find the nearest postal drop, they seem to move these weekly. Anyway as I drove out of the parking lot I looked up and there tucked into the side of a building was a drop off. So within a little over an hour I had completed my chores. I sang all the way home, to Country Western of course. And I also gave my guarding angel a prayer of thanks. It's so nice to have days like this.

It is great to hear that running your errands went so well. I don't typically have that kind of luck when I am running mine. I suppose the day will come when I won't have to take kids with me everywhere that I need to go and at that point I'm pretty sure that things will be a lot more smooth than they are right now. Of course, I don't think I will ever get good service like you had the pleasure of receiving.

I think it helps if you can go early so that you are one of the first people they help that day.

Those days are great! I used to act like I knew everything even though I didn't, it was part of my independence hang-up. I learned in the past few years that pretending or admitting ignorance is actually a good thing and gets me what I need or want as well as making others feel helpful, it gives purpose to their day as well as making mine easier!

I am glad your day went off well. May all the days you face be just like that. I think starting a day in a happy mood will make things easier to all of us. The momentum of happiness is such that one can breeze through difficult situations and not even notice it. Smiles!

You're right savypat. We all are used to talk about our problems than about nice things that happened to us. I hope everybody have some nice moments to share, but we are too busy talking about bad moments in our lives. I'm glad you had a successfull day, it feels great when you accomplish everything from your to do list for a day. Days like this make you say life is beautiful and it worth living, isn't it?
