I am now here in a foreign land... though having my vacation at first but now tryin my luck as well especially that I need to help my parents too. I was not born with a silver spoon... but my parents strived hard just to give me and my older sister a better future through a good foundation such as our education... isn't it a great opportunity to return all the favors to them? They are not asking for it... but my heart YEARNS FOR IT! I am hoping that someday, my parents will stop working and I will then start giving them a DECENT and wonderful life they haven't experience yet due to their UNSELFISH love for us, their children... that even a spoonful of food that they should be having was given to feed our hungry stomach. And even the bible mentioned that... It is the obligation of the children to take care of their parents when they get old. How about you guys... do you feel the same towards our beloved parents?

We're just the same.I was not also born with a silver spoon in my mouth.Ever since i am struggling poverty together with my parents.Through my parents perseverance, we able to eat three times a day and supply our needs. But now, they're already old they're still working.I want to take their responsibility and work for them.I hope i can do it now!...but I'm still young. .

Yes I do feel the same about my mother. Right now though I am focused on my studies for college. I am going to have loans that I have to pay off. So that comes first right now. Although with that being said I am trying my hardest to help my mother with money as much as I can. I can't help as much as I would like but hopefully in the future I will be able to help out more.

YES you are right... just wait for the RIGHT time... but for now, do study hard for you to be able to land on a decent job and be able to help your mom someday... but even as a student, you can still help her by trying to save up and try to earn in your own lil way so that your mom do not need to work twice as much. :) Thanks for showing how good you are as a child to your mom. God bless us all

Thank you. I know it is hard for her at times especially financially. So I try to help when I can. I also try to make money online when I have the time. Sometimes it is hard to find the time when I am in college though. While I am on break I will get on here more and try to make more money to help out. Thanks again.

YEah, there must be a time for us, children to give back to our parents. They have given alot of us, making sure we succeed in life. It's about time we give back. It might not be money, but make sure we remain filial to them. In their lifetime, they have been slogging hard to see us through school, all for one purpose. Thus, when we succeed, we must not forget about our parents. Without them, we wont be here today. So, thank our parents in the best possible way. Spending more time with them, let them enjoy life, make sure their life is meaningful.. hehe

Hello my dear friend I do love my parents and hope that someday i will be able to help them with stuff. I want to move to England in 2012 so with a bit of luck i will be able to send them at least something small there but that means quite a bit here. I don't hope to give them a decent life on my own, with out them working normally, but i do hope i can help them with money or with some gifts i would not afford working here. Take care friend !

hi jhordie my parents have been gone many years and now I am th elderly mom of my 51 year old son and he has taken care of me and even now his idea to have me here instead of struggling to find shelter when we became homeless was done out of love and concern for me, I did not want to come here but my son was out of work and we had run out of money and we were evicted from our apartment so he had to decide for me to get me here for now in this retirement center.now do not think any of this is free for it is paid for monthly from my social security check and SSI check and I pay for my own internet cable bill monthly lest anyone think I a m livving off of t hem I am not,not at all.I am partly handicapped hence the ssi'bad leg and bad arm on my left side.we plan on getting back together once he can accumu;ate some money and get into an apartment again. he is the kind of son every mom hopes she will have. I am very proud of him.

My beloved mother is deceased, and my beloved father is still working even though he could be retired. But if he gets to a point where he can't take care of himself, or doesn't want to, he is welcome to come and stay with me.

Hi there! Wow that is a really nice of you to think about your parents like that. I think everybody wants to help their parents to at least repay them for all the hard work and sacrifices they have made for us, their children. As for me, I also feel the same way. I wish I could find a job that would pay me enough money for me to support my parents so that they do not have to work another day and just stay at home and live a comfortable life. I hope that you will reach your goals. We can do this.

Hi, I do hope I can support my parents one day,but unfortunately now I am not in this position to do it. I am a daughter and have married,so I belong to other family and it is my husband who support our family . However, once a year, I will give my parents some money to show my love and respect to them. Everytime when I go back to my homeland, I will buy them some presents.

Since when we are a child our parents guide and take care us until we grow up. Our parents give us better life and education to secure our future. As I remember like you we are not born in a silver spoon as I remember when I was in college my mother take extra effort to sell something like foods and fruits, wake up early to prepare and cook food to sell in the market to sustain my allowances and tuition. They are willing to sacrifice as long as I can finish my studies. As of now, my parents are get older so as a child it's our responsibility to in return to take care of them, giving them financial assistance and assist them. No matter what they are our parents and we should honor and respect them.

Hello! i do not think i will ever be able to pay my parents even the 10th part of what they have given to me. Even so, i know that they do not want us to pay them back. A big reword for them is to show them that us, their children even having our own famillies and worries, still find time to go and see them, and that we are still asking for their opinion and their help, showing them that they are still the foundation on what we have built our house

Never thought of that... thanks for reminding me that even how hard we try... we can NEVER pay back all the good things our parents had done to us... for their love and kindness would always remain IMMEASURABLE! I really appreciate your sage advice my new found friend.

Yes, I am hoping that someday I would see them enjoying the rest of their lives, not worrying too much, having time with their grandchildren, playing with them, reading stories with them.

It is common here in my country to help our parents after we graduate from college. And even others who haven't finished school also help their parents. I have been striving to find a better job so i can give back all the hard works that my parents did when i was still young. And yes, taking care of them is one of it too. I know both my parents are still able to work, but i wanted them to really stop working and just stay at home and relax. I wish someday i can give a better life for both of them.

Yes I want to help my parents too in any ways. But with my limited income today, I'm afraid I cannot do any help for now. I'm still looking for another earning opportunity to pay all the bills and keep some amount of money for my parents. I hope that online earning money will work for me and through this I may help my parents.

Parents will always provide the best for their children. And later when they're old and happy we must treat them like they we're all happy.
