How much time do you allow your kids on computer?

How much time do you think is appropriate for children to use computers? My children are still in primary school and would sit on it all day if I let them...

Thanks for your comment. Dragging them off after the hour is the hard part!!! It's easier to say no altogether to it.

Now they are all fighting to use the computer at the same time. I think I'll be moving it to my room soon and banning them completely.

my 9 year old boy is allowed 1 hour of video games and 30 minutes on the computer each day. my 5 year old girl is allowed 30 minuted on video games and 15 miuntes on the computer. she is really only on it because every one else is she really has nothing to do on it. as far as tv goes they are allowed to watch tv about an hour to an hour and a half each day on the weekends i dont care.

That sounds like really sensible timing. I wish I could enforce something like that. Some days they don't go on at all though and my daughter does use it for assignments sometimes.

There are times I don't think I get a say in the matter lol. We have just started a point system where miss 10 must do chores to earn points, then cash them in for choice of her own tv show watching & supervised internet time 30 min blocks & any other "treat's". Week one went well. Sliding a bit in the earning dept. But when she runs out of points & wants something will see how it goes.

No kids here. But, it would depend on their ages, and what they are doing on it. Also, no exercise sitting on this machine, so it isn't healthy for them either.

I try to limit them. My 12 year old daughter is the worst talking to her friends on MSN and on all the dress up and virtual makeup sites. She is very arty too.
