Does baby aspirin 81mg can cause stomach problems?

Hi mylotters!
Does baby aspirin 81mg can still cause stomach problems? My friend is taking baby aspirins 81mg everyday as her maintenance.. She noticed that she felt her acidity worsens and she has lots of gas.. Does taking baby aspirin constitute to what she is feeling right now? And can she take baby asprin with antacids?

Aspirin is always likely to cause stomach problems, especially acidity and ulcers. It is probably not a good idea to take antacids to counteract this.
Your friend should consult her doctor. He or she may be able to recommend something more suitable.

Hi owlwings! She already consulted a doctor for her stomach problem.. She was prescribed some medicines.. but after she finished taking all prescribed medicines, then her problems comes back again. Do you think low dosage aspirin can still cause acidity and even gas?

Maybe the only way for her to find out would be to stop taking aspirin for, say, a week. If the problems stop, then she has her answer.

Hi Darkstrike! thanks for the advice. She's taking aspirin for her maintenance .I don't think she's taking it before meals. She's acidic and she told me she felt her acidity worsen the time she took aspirin continously.. Is there any alternative for this medicine? The doctor said baby aspirin won't do any harm to her since it's a low dosage..but why she's feeling like that?
