Milk is considered healthy especially for children due to the rich nutrients it contains that help the development but many of us feel that we should stop drink milk because we have grow up. Is that a good idea? What do you believe? Do you still drink milk every day?

No, I was fond of drinking milk everyday when I was a kid. But I got tired of drinking it when I got older because of the taste. Milk is good for any age, we shouldn't stop drinking milk even if we get older, because it helps older people to strengthen their bones, because milk is very healthy. I tried to continue drinking this, but I couldn't.

We shouldn't stop drinking milk just because we are older. We still need to drink milk because we need the calcium. I take a calcium suppliment every day along with vitamin D but I still drink some milk every day. The thing is they say we should be drinking 1% mild or skim milk because of the fat content in 2% or whole milk but I still drink 2% because I don't like the taste of 1% or skim milk. When I was dieting I drank skim milk because I had to but I didn't like it so I rarely drank any at all. But now I am drinking 2% again and I like it. I have my coffee in the morning, usually only one cup but today I am on my second cup because I am posting in mylot and treating myself at the same time. Then I have my breakfast which is usually just a piece of toast with peanut butter, need the protien in the morning, and a glass of milk. I think of the milk as part of my meal, like a baby has a bottle of milk. The milk fills them up so I think of it that way, that it fills me up too... Cheers my friend and happy mylotting, Chris

I started drinking milk again since last year. I decided to so I could prevent osteoporosis. I have a very low intake of calcium and I saw a brand in the supermarket where a single tetra pack of that milk could give you 3x of your daily calcium needs. But I don't drink it in a daily basis. I do it every other day. It is kind of expensive.

I used to love drinking milk all the time. Except, I hate that I get congested very easily from drinking it. Plus on top of that, I'm starting to think I'm allergic to milk and everything dairy. With your question. It's still good for adults to drink milk. Since it's still good for our bones. Since our bones become weaker as we get older.

We all need to keep drinking milk after we are grown. Vitamin D is very important to our bones especially as we get older. I don't think we need whole milk anymore though but 1% or skim is recommended.

I very seldom drink milk. It's not that i don't like it. I really like it with something sweet but i try not to eat many sweets because i do not need them & have been trying to lose some weight.

I enjoy drinking milk everyday. Unfortunately, I'm limited since I'm in college dorms now. I have one friend who drinks about half a gallon of milk a day and he is 6'4". And because he is consuming so much protein, he doesn't have to work out as much to retain muscle. Have a good day Jagokonte.

I cant even remember when was the last time I drink milk. I believe it is very good to our health especially for the young while they are in development stage. Occasionally I am mixing milk with my coffee for a change. Maybe I should do it more often and should try drinking pure milk so as to lessen my coffee intake.

Hi Jag, I still do drink milk. In fact I had given up drinking milk after my children were born, but 4 years ago I slipped and feel, breaking my wrist and forearm and had to be operated. The Physician advised me to take calcium rich food along with medication and advised me to take at least 3 glasses of milk, which I did. My hand healed completely without leaving any trace of the fall . Now I continue to take a glass or two of milk every day since I feel that as we grow older we need to take a little more care about our health...All the best and have a great day

Hi, I know that milk is essential for our body growth, but I don't drink milk. I just can't stand the milk smell. Only when I was pregnant with my first child, then I force myself to drink milk which is good for my baby. I chose the chocolate flavour milk,so that the taste is more sweet. After that 9 months over, I also stop drinking milk now.

We grew up drinking milk everyday. We couldn't leave the house without having to finish our glass of milk. Now that I have own family, I don't like the idea of drinking a cup of milk and go for a cup of tea instead. Probably I just got fed up with the taste of milk for decades. I came across to one article which says that if you're fed up with milk, you can still get the nutritional content of milk by eating ice-cream instead. My kids are not much of milk lover and yet they are taller than I am. I'm 5'4" and my hub is 6 footer. So probably milk is just one factor that helps with the growth of a person. The genes play a bigger role instead. Why do I say this? Because I have a friend whose kids drink fresh milk every day, twice a day and yet they are not that tall. Both husband and wife are not tall either. So growth has something to do with one's genes and not with the intake of milk
