How to get active members for online forum?

hello mylotters, i have recently launched an online discussion board. i have put ther lots of categories to discuss. but i dont know how to get active members there. please suggest me to get members for my site.

I know that some webmasters pay people to post on their forums in the beginning, in order to make it look more active. So you might want to look into that, or offer some other kind of incentive, such as offering people to link to their sites from their signatures (do follow of course) etc.
If you want to pay people to post on your forum, looking for people on different webmaster forums is usually the best way to go.
