I registered to become a voter way back 2007 and until now every time I go to our COMELEC office they said my ID is not yet there. I am wondering if these guys are just lazy to search or true that the ID's were not still delivered from national office. I need this ID badly for transaction purposes. I do only have postal ID and it is not enough. sigh! Hoping you guys has an idea over here about this matter :( .. Thanks!

Actually, I think they no longer will give out voters' id's. And I think some transactions no accepts voter's id. Don't you have school id or company id? Can't you get a barangay clearance? Don't you have a passport? Those could be substituted to a voter's id. Even your birth certificate I think would suffice. But if what they're looking for you is a voter's id, tell them that COMELEC is not issuing voters' id's.

You should tell them though. Haha. Then you would have to explain everything to them. Sheesh. Don't these companies talk to each other? Anyhow, a passport is a government issued ID. You'll just have to present them and have photocopies right?

according to what i hear on radio news. COMELEC is now printing identification cards for the voters. try to visit again the office to see if they already have your ID. if they cant show any ID for you, show them your papers or proof that you are a registered voters. i just registered this year and i am expecting my identification by first quarter of the next year.

Hmmm, I registered for the first time before the ID came to be then I when the voter's ID came in I had my pic taken and that was before year 2000. Until now I have not gotten my ID. The last election before this year, I asked for my ID but the person in-charge did not give it to me because she said there was no go-signal and I have to get it from the comelec office after the elections. Well, I did not get my ID because what's the use? I was way way younger in that ID LOL and also I lost interest in that. You have to use PRC ID or driver's license or passport.

Too bad for you....well, in my case, I just went to the Local City Comelec and have my files been validated. So lucky for me that early this month, I already received my voters id delivered straight to my barangay!

Hello cheravs, I registered back in 2004, just before the elections itself then. but it's almost six damn years, and i still have NO Voters ID. i don't know why they are not making their promises in delivering those IDs. it's one of the failed things in the system. not to mention that the office is very hard to communicate it when it comes to this ID thing. have you tried calling them? have a nice day

Im not surprised. My dad waited for 6 long years before his Voter's ID has been released. My husband waited for 4 years before he got his. I just registered this year and I am expecting it to arrive in 2015, at the earliest :) Why not apply for a passport as that is the easiest ID to get. SSS ID's will take at least 6 months to a year before you get them.

you're not alone, the usual reason is corruption, some of the barangay in our city had their comelec id but in our area we don't have yet, my good it's been three election now we don't have this id yet...
