MyLot delete messages

hi co-lotters. I was reading my messages and noticed that there are no delete messages option and i was wondering why.. i just want to clear my messages once read-- i think it has been a habit of mine, cleaning and clearing to freshen up. does anybody care to tell why there's no delete messages or am i the only one who has no delete messages option?
