Yesterday I read the news that Panasonic is going to release its own console, code name "The Jungle." For your information, Panasonic ever released its own console called 3DO. It was around 1994 or 1993 (I forgot), and even though the system is now forgotten, but it was one of the unique console at that time, competing directly with Sega CD and early PlayStation. Back to The Jungle. The system will mainly focus on online gaming. It has its own screen, keyboard, USB ports, and mini HDMI. Well, I haven't heard more about The Jungle anyway, but in my opinion, I doubt that it will be able to stand against its competitors. With that said, people that do not have internet access will find this console useless as they cannot play it. So, what do you think about this, fellow gamers?

Wow sounds like all other gaming consoles will now have competition. How convenient that they are releasing soon prior to the holidays. I am sure it will be a great craze as it lists 3D and touch screen. Amazing how technology continues to evolve. I was not aware until you started this discussion and so went went online and found a link and wow, it sounds like it is going to be great. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/05/panasonic-jungle-video-wa_n_750836.html Amazing...

Hi there Hardworkinggurl! It's nice to meet you here! I think Panasonic is not going to release the system anytime soon, because usually a system will be launched one or two years after its code name announced. Yeah, pretty amazing how technology improves itself. 30 years ago everything was bleeping, now everything is blasting!

Wow i never knew panasonic had their own gaming system. That's very interesting to know. But "The Jungle" doesn't seem like its going to be a very good competitor against the current console mostly because people already use their pc for online gaming. I dont think they'll get "The Jungle" when they already have the pc to play their online gaming. Of course i am assuming that any games released on "The Jungle" would be release on the pc as well because i dont think any games would only release on "The Jungle" when its such a new console that no one has heard of or even knew about that panasonic has a console.

Yes, I think so. Well, but let us see what Panasonic is going to do with it. We were so sceptical when Microsoft decided to enter video game console ten years ago. But they did it nicely. The Jungle is its developing code name, and the real name for the console is yet unknown (assuming the console will be released anyway). Why not make it "The Falcon" like your Mylot account?

You have a good point. I'm very interested on how well it will do against such high competitors like Sony and Microsoft. Panasonic will need to have something creative in their console to compete against the consoles now.

hmm so it will be more like a computer for online games, right? Hmm we might get it if we can also access the internet with it... I didn't know panasonic had released a gaming console before though, thanks for that tidbit!

That sounds very interesting, I wasn't aware of any plans for Panasonic to develop their own system. I agree that it would be very difficult for a new system to compete with the console giants Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo but I think that like most systems it will come to have its own cult following and hopefully establish itself as a good console. But, I guess only time will tell.

no they are not this is all just a rumor people don't get your hopes up because there is no way they could compete this is just like how people said we were gonna get the new sega vision its all a lie but sega could come back just cause they have so many fans but no panasonic is not coming back sorry to burst your bubble but there is no chance
