Never On Car engine when it is not moving.

A mother and her son were having a nap inside her car.
The car engine was on, the car's air-conditioning was on too.
Both sides of the car front's windows were lowered down a bit, to allow the fresh air to go through the gap.
The doors of the car was locked.
Both of the mother and her son were found death.
After the initial observation, the Police assumed the Mother and her son were not suicidal case.
Do you still want to on the car engine, the air-conditioning when your car is not moving?

Wow I never thought about it like that as I too have done this and figured as long as the windows were down a bit that I would be okay. So a valuable lesson from your post to not ever do this again.

I was thinking in that way too.
I did wind down my left and right front windows with a small open gap and I slept inside my car. My car engine and the air-conditioning were both on at that time.
But it was mostly a short while when I was waiting for someone or I was too tire to continue my journey.
Now, I feel I was very lucky.

It is sad to hear that, I believe many people do not know that the carbon dioxide and emitted from the car can actually kill you when it is accumulated in a certain amount. And if you inhale over a certain amount of carbon dioxide, you will probably poisoned by this gas. The car emitted gas can go into your car without you knowing.

This is the purpose of posting this discussion for other members to aware of it.
The cars not just emit the Carbon Dioxide, but also the Carbon Monoxide.
The incomplete burning of gasoline will create the Carbon Monoxide.
Well car maintenance is very important.

well this is the case of carbon monoxide poisoning, even if the window is opened, if the place where the car is located is not ventilated like car park and such then it can happen.
also how open is the window?

I never leave my engine on and the air conditioning with the windows down a bit. That is just weird.. if you have your air conditioning on why would you need your windows down? That is wasting gas and what not. Mind as well nap at home or something. I would never do that.
