How much time do you spend daily writing articles? Do you work for clients or web sites, just curious to know. I am into this field for almost a yr now . I am working for a client. I am spending almost 8 to 10 hrs daily writing and editing and i am loving this job. The best part is I am with my kids working and also taking care of their home works side by side.

Hi durgabala - I write about 10 articles in a week, mostly over weekends. Writing is a hobby for me and it helps me unwind as well as express my thoughts. I have been publishing my articles through websites like Associated Content, Triond and others. Since the payout from these sites is quite meager, I was thinking of writing for a client or going out on my own and selling my articles at sites like DP or Namepros. I agree that it is a boon for stay-at-home moms since it enables them to spend time with kids while earning at the same time. I also have some ebooks in the making and intend to launch them very soon - I may look for partners when I am about to launch, who can help me a good launch.

Thanks durgabala for your good wishes! puccagirl - Good to know that DP is a great place for getting clients - hope I am able to garner my own share of part-time business, since I also have a full-time job on weekdays. Thanks for the heads up though for looking out for scamsters at the site!

DP is great for that sort of thing, Emvy548! That's how I got the clients I have today. I've been writing for them ever since and now I don't need to look for clients anymore, since I have the amount I have time to write for anyway. So I highly recommend it! But as always, be a bit careful, not everyone is nice and honest there either, even though most people are!

I used to write for a client for couple of months. He used to pay me good for the articles. Now he requires a team of 20 dedicated members to write for him on a project for which I need to deposit some caution money, which I can't able to provide. So I backed off. Now I am in search of a good client. In a day I can write about 10-15 articles of 300-500 words. If anyone knows a client looking for a writer, please let me know. It will be very helpful.

jackjill123, have you tried looking at different webmaster forums? I have found them to be great places to find writing gigs. And by the way, I think you did the right thing by not making that deposit!

@jackjill123, I am very interested with this discussion because the reason I join this site is to look for a worker for my plan blog site. I wonder if you are interested to be my content writer? My budget for now is very tight, and my plan is to pay $0.35 per 100 word for blog and $1 per article (300 - 500 words) and $1.50 per rewrites on PLR. If you are interested can you tell me more about yourself, hobbies, interest etc??

I don't have a client. I just submit my works online whenever I feel like writing. Lately I write at least an article a day because I am on my maternity leave. This is my way of entertaining myself while I wait for our first baby to come out. I find this hobby very promising because I am rewarded for every output I make. I hope I can generate good passive income out of my works online. Writing for clients can be good because they pay upfront payment. Some pay a good sum of money, but they tend to be demanding. I would like to write according to my taste and mood. This way I feel fulfilled right after I finish my work.

I am currently employed full time on a 9 to 6 job, so writing is something I do during my spare time and on weekends. I've just recently started blogging and submitting articles on article submission sites and doing forums here at myLot. I am also a mother of 2, so your work set-up is actually my 'dream job'. That's why I've been practising doing blogs and stuff coz eventually I would like to ease my way into the work at home set-up. I hope you don't mind me asking-- how much do you charge per article, or is it paid by the hour? Thank you :-)

My guess is that most writers charge a cent per word and upwards for decently written articles. It may go up five times if it is an article on a niche like some specialized topics in business or finance. Unique 'how to' articles may also command a good price especially if they pertain to things that people usually struggle with. Writing on Constant Content allows you to peg your own price for your articles though submission guidelines are a bit strict. I have seen 500-word articles selling for $100 on niche topics on CC.

hi, even i'm into writing articles. i like this job for the flexibility it gives me to spend time with my family. so how many articles do you write daily? i work for a person who does the talking to the client. so how much do you earn through it. i have just begun, so i dont know, how much do they pay and all. i had to quit my desk job after my daughter was born, and i decided that my daughter needs me more than i need a job, so i searched extensively, for home based jobs and stumbled into this person. good day then

I can write upto 10 or 12 250 words articles or 5 to 6 500 words articles, depending on the topic and research work. now I can't say how much I get paid here for each article , but I think I am paid fairly . I am working on this very seriously to get direct clients. I am writing more and more and also submitting articles in many websites for experience and improvement.

If you don't mind, can you tell me how much do they pay you for this???

I write articles mostly for clients, whenever my clients need something. This varies a lot, depending on their needs. But I don't do it full time or anything, so I am not really depending on it. I also try to write something for Bukisa every week, and besides that, I write when I happen to have the time.
