Do you really believe you can have real friends over the internet?

I met some friends on the internet some years ago, we haven't met personally for they are on the other side of the globe. Be I can say we are good friends, although we knew very little about our personal lives but we remain friends. But sometimes, it has come to my mind are they really "true friends"? We don't talk that much, once in a while we say hello thru sms, offline messages, or email. Even so, I still feel very much connected with them.

Yes, if it makes us have many friends why not, associated with asking the news via sms or via e-mail or otherwise is very good for maintaining your friendship.

hmm this is true rakadanda...nowadays, internet is the best tool in maintaining friendships may they be your old friends or new ones. It's very easy to keep your communication and update friends with what's going with our lives via online chatting or email and thus friends multiply.

I guess you are right sender621, it's easier to find friends on the internet. Just came to my thoughts, everyday we go out and came across a lot of people but little did we make friends to any. But on the internet, especially here at mylot, people share their views and unite thru the forums. And eventually became friends and the rest is history... hmmmm thanks for your sharing here sender621

Actually I've made friends in the internet that became really good friends.
At first we just talk about the most common interest that we share but later on we found out that there are so many things to talk and know about each other.
Eventually we decided to meet up and it went great. Until now we hang out once in a while.
