My boss is an idiot! He had no idea what WTF meant! I work in food service and the dooffus lets students(I work in a college) make comments. Some are really bad abd some are nice. The boss likes to comment back on the notes the students leave on a bullentin board. He saw WTF the other day and thought it meant "WHat the fun" and it was a cpmlement!! One of the cooks saw this and told him what is really meant! He still was clueless about it! He is such a jerk!

Maybe you can call your boss outdate just because he does not know your kind of WTF, but from your atical, I can see your boss is a very kind and smart person. and excuse me for saying this: the one who think his(her) boss is a jerk , is really a jerk. By the way , your boss does not know the meaning of WTF, but I am so sure you do not know many things your boss knows, such as : RESPECT

I don't have respect for my boss and neither do my co-workers! Not becuase he didn't know what WTf meant but for alot of reason's! He doesn't help out in the kitchen! Especially when we could use the help! He thinks he knows everything that goes on in the kitchen but doesn't! he is really clueless! He has ticked off most of the people who work at the college! He refuses to buy a new dishmachine(which we could afford)becuase he thinks it is cheaper to have it fixed all the time because the machine is over 20 years old! He still doesn't get it that putting in another walk in cooler will work so much better then more reach in coolers! He is such a jerk who will never see this! he knows nothing about Mylot! I have told friends about this site but they don't get it. So I am not worried!

yes, totally agree with 2040COLORFUL. You can't call a person a jerk just because he doesn't know what WTF stands for. If your boss is really a jerk, then he's a jerk for hiring you working for him. Just hoping your boss won't read your post or else you should start finding another job! :P

I wouldn't say he's a jerk, just uninformed about text speak - uninformed doesn't mean he's an idiot or stupid, just uninformed... leave off calling him names and educate him...

I don't think it is appropriate to call your boss an idiot just because he didn't know what the acronym meant. Believe me, even I didn't know what terms like FML, STFU and LMAO meant until people used it online and I took the trouble to find out what they actually meant. If your boss doesn't know the term, it is either because he hasn't actually been exposed to the term before, or because he is just ignorant to the term. Anyway, do appreciate your boss; if not, working each day can really be a torture..... PS: In my opinion, using WTF to describe the food business, quality of food or service doesn't really mean anything significant. I thought that term is normally used in a situation when someone is shocked or surprised at something....

No one, including me,hate his guts! The WTF thing just is added to a long list of things he has done! Work is torture when he is around! He won't say Hi to a person! He justs walks by you without a word! He says stupid stuff because he really things he is funny!NOT! He is rarely in the kitchen so he doesn't know what is going on even though he thinks he does! He loves to leave after working like 6 hours which he usually just sits at his desk surfing the web! There is more but I will stop for know!

Strange. Very unusual. Even non-english people nowadays know WTF WTF means (lol). Your boss is clearly an idiot or he's a person strongly convinced of other people kindness. He should write a post message on the board where he asks what the f**k WTF means (lol x 2)...

Yes my boss is an idiot! He thinks he is God's gift to food service! Not! He is so clueless about things! On the other he won't agree on things we need in the kitchen unless it is his idea! Like the dihmachine is 20 or more years old. it needs repairing on a regular basis! The idea of a new one was brought up and it was shut down! If it was his idea we wouldn't be dealing with a crappy machine!

Lol It just goes to show that some people are old. Someone's dad even thought that WTF meant Why the face, and F U meant for you.

His is old. Like in his early 60's! You'd think he would know this because he thinks he knows everything about the food service business! It just shows he doesn't know everything and he always will be a doofus!

He is being left in the cold but he won't admit it! He can be very arrogent and he will act like he really know what WTF means even though he didn't! He is so clueless with today's generation! He is with his kitchen staff, too! He is hardly in the kitchen! He thinks he knows what is going on but has no idea! This boss is pathetic!

It's unusual these days to find someone who doesn't know WTF. Isn't this a sad thing to say about our society? I find it refreshing that this man not only doesn't know what it means but refuses to acknowledge it when it's explained to him. Get off his back and appreciate him it's up to you, all you have to do is change your point of view.

We aren't going to give him a break! My boss is a real jerk! He thinks he knows what is going on in the kitchen! He doesn't! He never helps us out in the kitchen! He thinks he knows everything and anything about food service! He is so clueless! He gets upset and starts arguments over things that are totally that has nothing to do with what is going on! He still won't accept we have to put in a new cooler because the college keeps growing!Instead he still thinks reach in coolers instead of a production cooler would be better! Not! He still refuses to believe we need a new dishmachine! Instead money is wasted on repairs to a machine which over 20 years old! He doesn't appreciate us so we will not appreciate him! Believe me he is worse then I mention! Meeting him in person would prove what a jack*ss he is!

You should have said it means "where's the fork?" , but please don't call someone an idiot especially if it was your boss. You should respect anyone and give consideration, no matter what generation you are in now, you still have to be kind. Peace to All!

Not everyone is in tune with the acronyms that are around in today's society. We shouldn't fault people just because they didn't know what the letters stood for.

He should! He is the head of a college food service department! he tries to get to know the students but he only ends up ticking them off! Just like he has with his whole staff and just about with everyone else empolyed at the college! That is how much of a jerk he is! Not lying!

Sounds like they should brush up on their understanding of curernt pop culture.I think that this person is allowing students to use inappropriate languagne in the business and even though they are not full words some may find them offensive.I feel that alot of the past generation of people are unaware of this current thing that kids are using to communicate to each other and they may want to look into it so they know what is being said to them if someone of a younger generation talks this way to them.

I doubt my boss will look into more the way today's generation! You can't tell him what to go and it has to be his idea! At least he has to think it is his idea! The thing he started is called "Napkin notes". Students usually use napkins to vioce their comments. My boss thinks it is a wonderful idea! Everyone else knows he opened a can of worms! A big can of worms!

Well, maybe your boss is an old one. He doesnt care and really no idea of those bad words around him, or maybe he is kind of religious and bad words were prohibited at their home..There will be a lot of term you may think on that 3 letters if there is no topic at all.. Funny thing he made was making a compliment on it.. Hope he learned lesson from it...

My boss is in his early 60's. He is totally clueless about today's generation! Totally clueless about everything at work! You can tell him things but he refuses to believe you! He is a jack*ss and makes everyone at work wish he'd get fired! He will never learn!
