I use Accer Extensa and no problem, a very good computer and not too expensive as well. I was thinking about to buy a netbook some time ago but I understood that it would be too hard to work with this. 10.1 screen - it is not serious for normal working.

Yes, I guess 13" is the amount on what a normal computer size starts. Of course, you can lock a netbook to a stationary PC monitor and standard keyboard. But then there arises a question: why then to buy a portable computer at all? :)

It was a surprise to me recently getting to know that almost none of the companies which own computer brands do any producing. DELL, Lenovo, Apple and other are just organizers of the process and they some of them even don't own eny factory - they just order one component in USA, the other in China, third in India, and then pays some factories in China or India to put it all together. Of course, outsorcing is a normal process in modern economy but my surprise was finding out that ALMOST ALL is being outsourced.

My first laptop was HP Pavilion dv6000 but after three years it was comatose. If I'm going to buy again I will look for at least 1280x720 widescreen 4gb+ ram laptop or better buy an ipad.

I have a Dell inspirion 6000 and it is a powerful laptop. I was lucky to be able to keep it as it was from my last job. It was for my work as I also worked from home. Well after everyone was terminated from the business, long story they became crooked, well none of us got our last two paychecks. They forgot I still had this laptop and it is fabulous. I suppose it was a trade off as I did not get my money. But anyways it is very dependable and suits far and beyond my needs. I also have a netbook acer and it is okay for simple things but a pain as it is too small and hard to see a full site on the screen.

I love my new netbook. It doesn't take a lot of space and serves the simple purposes I need. I miss the CD drive though. :(
