According to me, We are always depending upon other's help in someway or other. Take for an example, In a day, our daily common activities. All our activities are irrespective to money. We Brush our Teeth - Brush & Toothpaste (we got from a shop - So, we need shopkeepers help. We have breakfast - we need our mom's or servant's help. We go to office/school - Any vehicle/bicycle - we need our manufacturers help. Again we come home - we need our mom/servant's help to have a drink. Night time - we need our Electricity board help to have light during the night time. One day we die - we need others help to bury us. coz, We cannot bury ourselves. So, we cannot say that we are independent. Without the nature's help, we cannot even live for a second.

Well you are right in that sense, but i was talking about being dependent on others in case of money. I think many people who do not have any job or any other source of income depends on others. Anyways thanks for your response.

I'm living on my own since I was 18. I moved out because I wanted to work, save money, and then travel. But before I did that I saved money for my study and keep doing part time job until I finished my diploma. Anyway, so yes now I'm still living on my own I have fiance but we are far away and I don't depend myself on him. I ask him for help when it is really needed. I'm sending some of my money to my family every months and I'm happy and proud doing it hehe! I love making my own decision in my life, decide what I want to do after work, what time to sleep, how many hours I should be on Internet, what to eat tonight, where to go on my day off and many more. Good luck to you and have a nice day

I have a job but i am still dependent on my parents, well in case of bills and food everyday i depend on them on that. But i don't ask them for money even if during those days that i am only volunteering in a hospital. I try to work part time so that i don't have to ask them for anything.

Well, atleast you have a job. You are not dependent on your parents for everything but once you get a full time job, you will become independent completdly and you don't have to depend on your parents anymore. I wish you best luck for that. And thanks for your response.

I'm depending on myself to make a living but in emotional aspect I'm depending on friends and relatives though on the whole I can get through everything all by myself. I was born in an average family, but my parents were working hard to support my education. I vowed to help them pay them back with rich material enjoyment as well as psychological satisfaction. However, it is a shame that my such goals are not realized yet. Right now I've got engaged with my bf, and it seems that he's doing a lot more things concerning daily life and family, yet I myself is giving much more. I'm doing my work conscientiously and helping him with his career occasionaly, I'm taking care of the housework and trivial matters, a lot more. There's no need for me to stay independent in everything, because sometimes it is a bless to have someone to depend on, but just don't forget to ensure your ability to be independent when the person you are depending on leaves you away for a period. waazula.com

I want to be independent but right now I still don't have the means to be one. Even though I help out on the family's expenses, i still depend on them even on the simplest things like cooking food, cleaning the house, etc. I believe that parents should instill their children independence and don't just spoil kids for they won't learn in life. Like me, I've always been scared of the unknown, tomorrow, future, etc. I'm afraid to take risks and make mistakes.

It's embarrassing to admit that until now at my age(which is not young)I still depend on my family, well that started few months ago when I lost my job. But of course I'm not planning to depend on them for the rest of my life, if God will permit, I want to work abroad next year so I can be independent.

I already have a job but I'm still dependent to my parents. I know I can be on my own but I'm just afraid to be alone. So I'm just helping at home and in some expenses.

I am obviously dependent on my parents still but I work two jobs so I feel that if it was required I would be able to live on my own at the moment. Plus I have quite a bit saved up.
