If someone will give you a gift, what would you choose? What would you not?

If someone will give you a gift, and you have to choose from one of the following three things (the only choices left), what would you choose? Why? What would you not rather receive? Why? a. deodorant b. mouthwash b. foot scrub

I would not choose the foot scrub! I hate for people to touch my feet I have no idea why. So I suppose it would be deodorant or mouthwash-- as long as I get to apply them both myself! lol!

I am real protective of my feet. This makes it very difficult to purchase shoes. The ones I wear are about to fall of my feet, but hey, they are very comfortable. I figured since one of my students asked me if they were my "running shoes" tonight I probably better invest in a real pair soon!

I'd choose b. mouthwash since I use it on a daily bases. What type of deodorant is it? If it's the organic type, I'd take that too, but not the general ones. I don't mind having a foot scrub either.

Hi Bingskee, Well, me being the self-concious person that I am then I have to say I would never hope to receive any of those gifts. Unless its from a little kid then I would take any of those things very personally and it would really make me feel bad. If I had a problem and needed any of those things, I'd hope that my friend would just tell me to my face. I would not send such a gift to someone and I would not want to get one. I did work with a lady who smelled as if she did not bathe often and at Christmas we exchanged gifts. I wasn't even really trying to send her a message. I just didn't know what to get her and so I went into a bath products store at the mall and bought a bunch of smelly soaps, bubble bath and some bath oil balls that came in cool shapes and made her up a basket. My boss saw the gift and later whispered to me, "what a kind way to let her know!" I seriously was not even trying to send her a message. I wouldn't. If I was not close enough to say it to her face then I'd ignore it.

soaps are okay. deodorants and mouthwash speak so much. i don't know, they just make me uncomfortable.

I´d like another footscrub, please. It seems to me that those are the king of things that either get misplaced or they don´t work very well.

If someone ere giving me a gift, i would not care what it was. As long as it was given from the heart is all that is important to me. the expense is not what a gift is all about to me.

i would also accept anything given. but sometimes it makes me wonder why a certain person will give me a certain gift. one of the above was given to me as a Christmas gift and i was at that point wondering why. preferably, i would choose foot scrub. it would be better i guess to receive that than receive a mouthwash or a deodorant. it crossed my mind that if i will receive those, could it be possible that they are smelling something not nice from me?

I have a very vivid memory of my cousin giving my grandmother an economy sized bottle of listerine for christmas one year. He was about 6 yrs old and had seen her listerine in the cabinet and was so proud of the deal that he got on it. I was about 16 at the time and I thought it was the cutest thing. Kids are sweet and their hearts are in the right place when they buy gifts like this. Adults tend to not be so kind. It would all depend on who the gift was from really.

Hi, There should be a third option. You said 'three things' but you mentioned two, 'a' and 'b'. I think a mouthwash comes along with the foot scrub. There should be an option 'c. Sorry, I don't take gifts' or, 'c. Who cares, I'll throw it anyway' Anyways, I would go for the foot scrub, as this is multipurpose. You can spank a child with that, you can wash your pet (even if it's a turtle), you can even wash the floor in case of emergency. Thanks. God bless you.

People always say I am quite easy to please, as I am one that receives almost anything even the smallest things as if they treasures. I have always been more of a giver than a receiver so when I do get I jump with glee. Tomorrow is my birthday and although I have lost a great many friends, due to the fact that I am no longer working off-line.. I certainly feel blessed as my boyfriend has been so supportive so I feel that his presence is a present in itself. but given your choices I would accept them all as none would go to waste in my book as I use them all daily.

I would have the deodorant as long as it was something good. Is there some kind of 'right choice? Lol Personally in real life I'd reject all if I could get away with it. I'd rather get a blackberry phone then a pikey deodorant rofl

Hi there bingskee, What a tough question with very little choice you got here.. I guess I would choose deodorant. First of all, I thought of the uses of all three and I think the deo is much more important that mouthwash and foot scrub.. Mouthwash is an optional thing. I can brush thoroughly and floss afterward without having to use a mouthwash.. So I'd rather not receive that. Foot scrub. I am not so into scrubbing my feet. I don't even think my feet is terrible.. So it is still optional.. I can just use my ever liable pumice to scrub my feet.. Deodorant is important. Since I am living an active life.. Walk my kid to her school, back home and fetch her again.. Attending Aerobics sessions. Cleaning, doing the laundry.. Everything. So I don't consider it an optional thing since my activities are on everyday basis..
