Are you a displaced fan?

How many of you NHL fans out there are fans of teams that aren't local? I became a hockey fan while living in Colorado, so I'm a Colorado Avalanche fan. Alas, I now live in southern New Jersey. Which means the only games I can watch with any regularity are Flyers games. Unless a game is on Versus or NBC, or they're playing the Flyers, I don't get to watch my Avs play. How do you fill the void? I listen to the games I can't watch online (the teams home radio broadcast is available on their website in a live feed). I also keep an eye out for sites that do live NHL games. I found a few toward the end of last season that broadcast them online, but the quality wasn't great. How about you?

Oh no! I'm a die hard Red Wings fan, Can we Still be friends?I got to be a Red Wings fan back in 1997 when ESPN had hockey games. I live in Northern VA. so I get to see my second favorite team , The Caps. The only time I get to see my Wings is on Versus. Do you know we play each other tonight on Versus At 7:30pm?

I actually don't have a problem with the Red Wings. The Avs/Wings rivalry made for some great fight videos, and even though it's cooled a bit, you can always expect both teams to play their best when they play each other. Detroit's got some really great players that I'd love the Avs to steal away, he he. I'm watching, and lovng this game.

I must confess , I saw only the first period. Both teams looked good. It was tied 1-1 when I left.

I am a converted Canucks fan! To tell you the truth, up until a few years ago, I didn't care so much about hockey, as it wasn't a sport generally shown when I was working and living in Asia. Starsports-Asia would usually show an odd game or two, but it wasn't a priority. Not until I got back to NA where I re-discovered the game. I still think it's the best sport out there!

I am a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, which lives in Alberta. People around here are very passionate about the Edmonton Oilers. Luckily however I do get to see most of their games tho, because of the different time zones.
