Your secrets posted online

I came across a website about secrets being posted once. Now, I am writing a story and I would love to use these secrets in it. Of course, I would just be using it as a basis and not copy it. Anyway, it got me thinking, why are people posting their secrets online? Do you do the same? Why do you post them? Do you feel relieved to at least have let this little piece of something leak out to strangers anonymously?

well,look around what's happening in this site... don't you think there are also members who tend to post their secrets in here?
i can tell,some people can be good when it comes to writing more of speaking itself.but there are people who find it hard to let their feelings out,so they tend to write it as well. at least,they do let out their emotions.it's bad to keep it all inside,you might burst without knowing it... to tell you the truth, i am one of those people who find it hard to let my feelings out,that's why i do write a lot. that only appears in my diary.
i never write online my secrets.well,if there is,it cannot be a secret anymore.
in here,people can hide their true identities like we are using names which are on our own choice and these avatars can be not the real pictures of our own selves as well.we can hide our true identities,but i know,our true self will be viewed on how we do interact with others.
anyways,no secrets are safe,and truth will set us free.
so,however we tried to hide things,it will always come out.no matter how prepared we are or not. might as well,practice on telling the truth instead...and be open when you really need to.but be careful who to talk to,cause they might use your words in revenge or whatever that will ruin you.

yes,it's better to write your feelings and share it to someone,cause it may somehow help yourself rather than keeping them all stucked in your heart. it may cause your heart explode!
secrets are still secrets even if you tell them to someone?
i somehow disagree. cause you can only call it secret if you yourself kept it.
by telling it to someone else,i do hope it won't be broadcasted to others as well.

Feelings are better expressed before you are on the verge of exploding because people might get an explosion they do not need. ;p Yes, in a way, secrets are still secrets if a person tells a stranger about it. They do not know each other after all. If, say, I use an alias and tell a mylotter about it, it still is a secret.

I observed that here but those posted here are more of problems and not secrets. In that site I saw, there were confessions. I think writing is a good way of letting your emotions flow out a bit especially if a person has no one else to talk to. That is what I do, that is why I write stories. =D I think secrets are still secrets even if you tell that to someone.

I don't share secrets online. I think others are doing this because they have the ability to hide their identity. For sure they are not disclosing their real names. My inference why they're doing this is merely to express themselves. They are not so confident to share it to someone they know. So, it's better to hide under a pen name.

It feels good when you release something that you hide in your heart. Sometime you look for someone who may guide you by giving you their piece of advice. There are several reasons why people do that, I for some case do that often. Its my way of airing out what I feel. Of course, we have to be very careful in giving our personal details to these strangers.

It does feel good to do that. I agree that there are some strangers out there who give good advices to some random people. I have tried sharing my thoughts and what-nots to strangers but they're no secrets at all. I really think that when people would want to share secrets to strangers, they have to use a pseudonym or something.

i haven't done this but like you said i think it's one way for them to channel their negative feelings about the secret. they just need someone who they can share it with without having to disclose who is behind the secret in the fear of being misjudged. its better than just keeping the secret to themselves. i really believe writing is an effective way to somewhat relieve the person off the negative thoughts he has to bear associated with secrets.

I may be right but it's one thing. I would really love to hear from someone who does this a lot. I tried posting a secret online but I never knew how people reacted upon reading it since I forgot the site in the first place. lol I do share my problems to random people, but they're no secrets though.
