Every time when it is going to rain soon or the weather is going to change in some way either hot or cold have you noticed that birds hang out on the power lines? Do you think they do this because they know it is going to rain or a change of weather is coming? And how do they stay safe up there? I saw a lot of them tonight and before I have noticed that when a weather change is sbout to happen they seem to migrate in the same area {power lines} You know when you stop at the red light and all the wires up in the sky by the street lights?

Honestly I've seen them grouped on the power lines but I did not ever match that up with the idea that they were up there due to weather change. I've always wondered though why sometimes huge flocks sit on the wires together. But you know, I saw a large grouping of say 50-100 birds or so on a line @ a car dealership.... I guess it would stink to be the car porter @ that dealership *LOL*

I'm sure they are used to a lil ick here and there but that amount of birds had potential for alot of work needing to be done scraping off bird poo!

I haven’t really noticed because around our area we have no power lines, it’s all underground….I have seen birds sitting up there but never paid attention to weather changes. It’s interesting; it appears that they gather together in case of danger. Animals are very perceptive; we had a Siamese cat hears ago when we lived in an earthquake prone in Italy who used to go crazy around 10 to 15 minutes before an earthquake would hit.

I have noticed that animals can sense danger far better than humans when I was a kid.
