Anyone ever been to Hawaii or currently live in it?

My girlfriend usually goes on vacation to Hawaii every summer and I have always wanted to go and hopefully I will go with her someday. But I am just wondering if anyone here has been to or currently lives in Hawaii. And if so how is it? It must be amazing to live there. Thanks
