Do u have a dollar? Can give it to me? If the above is said by a young kid in front of u, will u give them the amount they asked for? This happened to me quite a few times including just now. Im a soft hearted person and I will give them so long the amount is not too big. However this time round, I did not give it to the kid. Somehow I don't find him pitiful because he's riding a bicycle. Am I being judgmental? Being unfair to him? I really don't know.

hello again sanitary, well on my part it depends on my mood. hehe sometimes i give but most of the time i don't. actually sometimes i even feel irritated on them coz some of them don't look pitiful instead they look rude and sometimes they do things that's really annoying. and some of them are even capable of hurting you if you don't give them. actually i also have a soft spot for children that's why i usually put some amounts to charity boxes for children but i don't usually give to street children. by the way, it also reminds me of the son of one person that i know. well this kid is not really close to me as ell as his mom that's why i am surprised that hen he saw me he ask me to give him some coins.so my reaction is like...what? huh! but i still give him since i am in a hurry that time and he keeps on following me, so to stop him i just give.

Correct, some of those kids are really annoying and daring. They are rude when they didn't manage to cheat us of our money. The worst I have came across is spitting on me! I really want to give him a slap on the face but he was too fast. From then on, I became quite judgemental especially when it comes to boys.

Begging is illegal here. They are not actually begging, they are asking for money in the hope of we adults feel obligied to give in to them. If I were your friend, I will do the same as well.

I don't give to beggars but I give some to someone I know especially if we are really closely related like a niece/nephew. I came across at some child who is begging me for money at a store. He was well dressed but with a little smudge on his face. I did not give anything to him becuase I don't like to. Then a few minutes later after I finish paying at the counter, the child was across the street... I saw him going inside an internet cafe shop. Imagine that. If i gave him a coin, he would just waste his time playing games inside that internet cafe shop! Another experience was, a beggar not accepting your one peso coin because she wanted more! This one was older, an adult. She said that she wanted 5 pesos. I freaked out! So I said, "I don't have any more coins." And she said something I did not understand and she was pouting walking away.... It is better to give food to beggars rather than money.

Yeah, i happen to meet that old lady refusing food over money. I will only commit sin because of getting angry to them!

Greedy beggars is the worst among all. If I meet one, I will take back whatever I gave initially and leaving them with nothing. I will rather give them food them. However, some beggars are fussy, they refuse food over money! I don't know what's going through their mind and that makes me think twice about giving money.

haha =D How i wish the kid can address me as brother, as in his same age brother.. lol =D So that i can join them in their quest for money!! haha =D I have came across some of them, but i usually ignore them. Most of them are just acting while even there are real ones, they will use the money to play games etc, but never for their meals.. haha =D

In these day and time, it never pays to be kind hearted. Even beggars are getting more greedy and Kids more capable of cheating us via their pitiful innocent looks.

It's really difficult to judge those kids when they put on a pitiful face. This time round, they gave the game away with his bicycle.
