Absolutely not healthy. There is no nutritional value on it. What you will get from it are sugar, caffeine, and other chemicals. There was also a study that I read somewhere that softdrinks causes your bone to weaken. Drink real fruit juice instead that I know for sure is healthy.

Soft drinks do have a lot of sugar in them. They are probably not the perfect beverage for good health. Water and juices and milk would be more appropriate choices.

No, soft drinks are harmful for the health. Although they taste well, however, you shouldn't drink a lot of them. This is why I seldom drink soft drinks because I want to be a good example for my child and let him get used to drink more water. I love China

Hi Mano Not at all Soda especially is bad for you it robs the body of calcium not to mention its very acidic and can cause digestive problems You can clean a penny with COKE (or Pepsi) in fact most likely any soda will clean a dirty copper penny we did that experiment in science class when I was middle school after seeing that I could only imagined what it did to my stomache when I drank it but that didn't stop me from having soda back then I haven't had soda in about 3 years now and don't plan on going back their loaded with caffiene and dyes also high fructose corn syrup ..the list goes on and on I don't miss soda as much as I thought I would but before I stopped drinking it my soda of choice was diet caffiene free PEPSI

A pleasant day to you Manoj1502, Generally, softdrinks are not really good for the health. As this contain too much sugar that can affect our body. However, it is not that hazardous to our health too. The best way to take and drink a softdrinks is just take it moderately. Dont drink softdrinks as if you are taking and drinking a water. As I noticed, a lot of people now a days tend to drink softdrinks very often. That they choose to drink a softdrinks rather than taking a water. And they seems to choose softdrinks to be their thist quencher rather than the water which is more effective to relieve thirsty feeling. Nevertheless, softdrinks is generally worth if we buy it sometimes but not to drink that often.

Most soft drink contains high sugar level and is not good for your health. Anyway, sometimes during fever, 50% mixture of water and 50% 100 plus is good to reduce the fever. So, it really depends on the type of soft drinks and also the purpose we take it for. Anyway, most soft drinks are not good for health :D

I am addicted to Diet Coke and I do drink way too much of the stuff. It may be low calorie and not terribly fattening but one cannot say that it is good for me . Soft drinks are not the healthiest thing to consume and if one must have some it is a good idea to limit to one glass a couple of times a week and not every day like I do!

It will never be considered as a healthy drink. Softdrinks can truly harm our intestines when you drink it everyday. It will also be the cause of other serious organ problems like your kidneys. It is acid and i don't suggest that you drink it on a regular basis and don't tolerate kids drinking it too. It brittle the bones making it weak. It will never be worth to buy and you will just waste your money.

NO, I don't think that soft drinks are good for your health. Because there have been many different studies done and they show that soft drinks have a lot of caffeine and sugars in them. I have seen what they can do to the human body and drinking too much of them is not very good. But I do like to drink soft drinks sometimes on a special occasion or an event that I am attending. But much of the time, I don't drink soft drinks.

I don't believe that soft drinks has any nutritional value, therefore it is not healthy. It just cost a lot because many are buying and drinking it because of its taste and how much it could quench ones thirst.

I like drinking soft drink even though I know it's bad for health. It waste our calcium so we will have a problem with our bones. Of course it's not worth to buy those soft drinks, hahaha. Well, just drink it if U want to. If U feel the pain to drink that soft drink then stop. I love to drink it very much but I don't drink it very often. I limit my self to drink it. Just to be wise to yourself.

Soft drinks are not healthy and has no nutrition at all. I seldom drink soft drinks because it is bad for the health, it can cause diabetes and not good for those who are acidic and those who has stomach problem because it contains acid which is not good for out stomach. Drink fresh fruit juices, i can assure that it contains natural vitamins and it is really nutritious and healthy for the body.

Good discussion, and good responses. Soft drinks are good now and then, but beware of soft drinks that are fruit flavoured... they tend to contain sodium benzoate. The problem with this chemical is that in the presence of heat and acids (namely carbonic acid from the carbonation, or citric acid from the fruit juice, among others) it turns into benzoic acid which is a powerful carcinogen. The concentration of it in soft drinks is far higher than it's acceptable concentration in drinking water anywhere in the world. Actually, most Colas do not contain sodium benzoate, and are generally safer to drink in this context, so go with a cola. Also, diet drinks can be problematic as aspartame (along with other sugar replacements) degrade and can form carcinogenic compounds. The short answer? Drink water :P. Or drink cola. Or drink freshly made fruit juice. Honestly though, all of these concerns are dwarfed by the danger of the amount of sugar in the drink. Basically the message is to be careful with whatever; everything in moderation.
