Avoid get picked up by strangers

Okay, it is dangerous to pick up those hitch hikers as you might seen it from those horror movies. You don't know that person, and you might get mugged or hijacked, even you try to be nice. It is dangerous to get pick up as much as you try to pick up some strangers. A friend of mine told me that she has car problem, and she can't drive her car home one day. She has to take the bus, and the distance from her home to the bus stop probably around 5 minutes walk. While she was walking home, there strangers whistle her, and try to offer a ride. She simply ignore them. Never get picked up by those strangers, as you might see those advertising about Missing persons.

It is obviously true that getting lifted by strangers would be troublesome for anybody. Even giving lift to stranger is quite hard. There are numerous occasion where incident like rape, homicide, looting have happened due to either getting acquainted with stranger or traveling alone in the lonely places.
This has resulted in total loss of faith even for people who are in serious need to reaching places. I have suffered recently, whereby I had to reach Hospital, It was an emergency situation, alas!!! I was little apprehensive of asking for lift and when I did, no one cared to help me for two hours.
Finally one good soul came ahead for helping me.
I think it is important that we are not stuck in the places with belongings or the portray that we have things which could invite trouble.

I mean when you are not that desperate, and you are still in good shape, do not ask for any lifting. You don't know what you might end up with. There were a lot of those locos out there waiting for victims.

we should be v.careful in a new place or with the strangers as peoples misuse our goodness & cheat us a lot so we should be carefull & keep our self distance from such people

Anything we do have risk associated with it.
However, if you think about it when you take a cab or bus (or any public transport for that matter), you don't know the driver either so you are basically accepting a ride from a complete stranger.
Sometimes it is unavoidable. If you can avoid then it is better.
