Do you ever feel like a piece of you leaves (dies) whenever your significant other leaves?? Every time my husband leaves for a long period of time and I don't know exactly when I may see him again, I get teary-eyed. I love him so much and hate it whenever he departs to go anywhere. Call me crazy, overprotective or whatever.. but I love that man!! How do you cope with unwanted goodbyes??

i've felt that before. its horrible, but as musician i deal with it by dedicating a song to them and singing it whenever i miss them.

You know what?? That is actually a great idea... I wrote a song once for my husband apologizing for everything I'd done... and his feelings that I'd hurt... someone else sang and recorded it... but I wrote it from the heart. Here lately, the last thing on my mind is writing... so it's hard to express myself... Thanks for sharing!!

You must love your other half very much and that is awesome but luckily for me I only feel that way about my kids and I don't have to say goodbye to them thank goodness because I don't think I would cope very well with telling them goodbye.

I can totally agree with you on that. I could never imagine saying goodbye to my daughter permanently OR temporarily right now. That would be hard. But, I do love my husband with all of my heart... and I hope that one day he realizes this... Thanks for commenting!!

I've actually been lucky in that I've only had to deal with sort of thing one time in my life. That was just after our son was born and my grandmother passed away. He had to come home to work and I didn't want my mother to be alone in Cincinnati dealing with affairs so I agreed to stay up there with her. It was a difficult time for me because I really missed my husband and I was torn up because my grandmother had passed away. It was okay though in the long run and I think it made our relationship stronger.

yes, i do. i am very close to my brothers and when they left to work abroad i had difficulty to adjust. also when my bf went back to London, it was so difficult to be happy and smile everyday.

Well it happens , when you you love somebody really from the depths of your heart. It happenend to me also, When I Met the girl of my life, I Purposed her, she told me that she will think over it, and after 2 days when I get back to her, she refused me, After that For next 2 years, till she was in the University,and up above my department,I felt the smae thing.But I never went to her again and never let any other girl, reach that destination of my heart,I really missed her , when ever she was absent due to any reason,The day I dont see her it felt to me that ther is no life in me. have a Nice day
