Is there any relation to the economic atmosphere getting bleaker, or people simply learn a better way to save money. Less eating out, especially junk food from those fast food chain, and get yourself healthier, something more going toward nutritional? I think a little of both. With the introduction of Burger King $1.00 menu with their cheese burgers; then coming with the response of McDonald, and Arby's, also Checkers, etc..... There were several fast food chain around my subdivision, from what I noticed, they all have something to offer with $1.00 with a burger sandwich. So, what you can beat it, competition is tough, and we always benefit from it as a customers.

Errr.. I really don't like fast food. I dont are how cheap it is. It tears my stomach up most of the time and it is not healthy either.

Fro some girls, fast food really not nutritional. But for most of the guys, like me, I won't mind to have a couple bites from fast food, at least $1.00 fill my stomach for while. I just need food sometimes.

I think that the dollar menu was the best thing that could happen to the burger world. it gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy their favorite burger and not cost them an arm and a leg. it is a good value for everyone. You dont have to just choose a burger either. The dollar menu offers many great choices.

I think they are responding to the economy they know people are cutting back on spending now so they have to be extra competetive and they have to make it attractive for us to come thier restuarants. Usually they are hoping to get us there using the dollar menu and hoping we will buy a regular priced menu item while we are there as well.

I love to eat at McDonald.I love to get a mcdouble I get 4 of them and some fries and a sweet tea.I wouldn't give it up for anything else. I would love to see the frappe to come down in price if they can cause it is too high price.

Hi Kingparker! $1 meal is cool as long as it's healthy. Cause if we keep eating a $1 meal full of fats, in the long run we might have health issues, and that will even cost more than what we think we are saving.

Most of the fast food chains around me have dollar menus to. They pretty much all do except for the ones that are in malls and those also dont accept coupons. I love the dollar menu. It makes it more affordable to stop there fast and grab something inexpensive to eat when I'm in a hurry and cant afford a lot. I know Wendys, Burger King and Mcdonalds all have dollar menus.

Hi, The best thing to do is to avoid those unhealthy fast food areas. If they offer 1$ for a burger, that is a way to make money for them. It is just junk food. I rather spend more money on a fresh salad or a home made sandwich with good elements. Instead wasting 1 $ for a quick sandwich, just eat some fruit, vegges or make your own sandwich at home. I am in Canada and I haven't noticed that offer, and if they do it up here, I would not go there anyways. It is just marketing and those fat and greasy sandwiches are bad. Well, once or twice a year, it is okay though.

Yes you can get a cheap meal at these places, but your health is the ultimate cost. You can gain weight on top of inviting a heart attack or having your cholesterol increase. I eat at these places rarely.

Actually I sometimes grab a $1.00 5 layer burrito from taco bell because that fills me up for $1.00. Sometimes it is actually cheaper than a meal at home. Plus I try to save even more money by parking my car and turning it off instead of idling in the drive thru. I am very conservative with my money though so I try to eat out very rarely if possible.
