Which one do you prefer: mobile phones or nostalgic landlines?

Isn't it a big question? In the modern era of mobile phone we almost forget our land phones which actually was the first machine for communication for us. Our land phones lay days after days and we don't care about it. But some people still like to use land phone when they are at home. What do you prefer? Do you use land phone at home or your moble is the only phone you use everywhere?

I prefer to use mobile phones because it is all in one. Plus, there are services like unlimited call and text so I wouldn't need a landline anymore. Also, network providers are also providing duo meaning mobile and landline in your mobile phone. No need for a separate gadget.

well it really depends on how you would use it.Landlines are practical if you want to talk long hours with someone who is located just nearby because using the mobile phone would be very costly. On the other hand, mobile phones are very useful and handy especially when you're not at home.Text messaging seems to be very helpful also and a cheap way to communicate to others compared to using the phone.

Cell phone is the only phone I use. I do have landline because when I got DSL for internet service at home, at the time when I got it, they told me I needed a phone service for the home. That was little over 5 or 6 years ago. I used to give out my home number to people I didn't wanna talk to. I have my laptop & an answering machine hooked up to the house. I didn't even have a phone hooked up.

I have two land line connections in my home. it's pretty nice to use fixed line phones when we are in house. They are cheap in making calls, but the rent is somewhat high!! The added advantage is that clarity in voice is the best thing to use land line phones. Broadband , for this we need telephone connection as a must. So, naturally i use my land line phone when i'm home.

I prefer a cell phone to the landline, as the cell phone is more convenient as I can take it with me when I am away from home, where as the landline phone I can't. I did have a landline phone at one time, but I canceled it as I didn't want to pay for 2 phones, not to mention that I got a lot of annoying telemarketer calls on my landline phone, and I don't on my cell phone. I use my cell phone everyday to communicate with my family so I do need it, and I can surf the web on it when I am away from home, and I can't with a landline. It is just more practical to have a cell phone, instead of a landline. Take care, and have a very good day.

I moved to a new house last February and until now I haven't applied for a landline phone. All of us at home have mobile phones and we don't think it necessary to have a landline connected because we can all communicate with each other easily and cheaply. We see landline phones as just an additional expense.

I dont think I would get rid of my landline phone. It really is very inexpensive to have each month. Its $24.00 and I get $10 off for being low income and getting assistance to help with the bills. I do not have long distance on my landline phone so I originally bought a cell phone to use when I needed to call a long distance number or when I was out and needed to get ahold of someone. But now I mostly just text people with my cell phone. I dont like to talk on the phone so even from my landline phone I dont call people just to chat I only talk on the phone if someone calls me or if I need to get ahold of someone quickly about something.
