I love eating fruits which are slightly sour. But my grand mother told me that it is not safe to eat fruits or I should at least avoid eating sour fruits if I have my period which is contradicting to what health professionals suggest. My grand mother said that it is the cause of menstrual pain, of course I don't believe it. What can you say guys?

Pain during menstruation or dysmenorrhea is caused by weak uterine walls upon filling off of your endometrium or uterine wall, it can be prevented by regular exercise because it makers your uterine walls tone. Eating fruits doesn't causes menstrual pain. it is ok to eat fruits even during your menstruation.

Actually its ok to eat any kind of fruit. but people restrict certain fruits may be due to their nature, like papaya and jack fruit is said to give more heat to the body, or pomegranade may cause cold etc. it all depends on our body constitution.

Hi, I do eat fruits everyday and fruit are good for our digestion. To what I know, during the monthly period,it is best to avoid eating pineapple because it may lead to more blood and menstrual pain, but for other fruits, I don't think it will do harm to our bodies. I got this information from my mother when I was in my teenager because I love to eat pineapple.
