I like gnome better than kde in linux, as I think it's more stable and user friendly. I would recommend gnome desktop in linux ...

I like KDE in general but in reality i never found that this interface is difficult to use!!It's true that have nice functionalities and have an high rade of personalization!!Gnome is ok too..is a simple and user friendly may be a good alternative to the windows graphic interface!!

I prefer KDE because it is a much more familiar interface for those who came from the Windows platform. So, right now, I'm using Kubuntu Linux as my everyday O/S because of its KDE interface. However, I do have a partition with Ubuntu Linux installed. It's my backup O/S when Kubuntu has problems like WIFI connectivity. So, I'm also using Gnome most of the time. Since it is easy to install multiple versions of Linux in a PC (I actually have 3 versions of Linux), I think it is better to just have or use both Gnome and KDE.

I like both of them, but I'm more familiar with KDE, maybe because first time using linux,it already on KDE. For me they just look like a windows. I have tried GNOME once, but I change back to KDE.

Most of the linux users prefer gnome for newbies the main attraction is compiz preinstalled on os like Ubuntu i tried both of them and currently using Ubuntu i.e Gnome i liked the KDE interface also but heard on web that KDE is still very much buggy and i am currently waiting for the Gnome 3.0 whose trial was very much impressive to me :) One more is among the upcoming interfaces is Unity but i tried that and was not much impressed with it as it is basically designed for netbook [low resources] but many users out there still think that it has potential to grow as it is in its very early developement stages
