How do you heal yourself from cough?

I always make sure I have enough vitamin C and so far I do not have any problematic cough for a long time. Once or twice I cough but in both instances the cough only melted to nothingness because of proper nutrition. It saved me lots of money very well.

Cough and colds may go at the same time, I had this experience of mine that made me realize that I must not take cough and colds for granted. At school, when I was on my nurse internship at the hospital, we had a main circle that time with our clinical instructor. Unfortunately, I coughed ones and it was so loud like a productive cough sounds like, you can just imagine, in a quite or silent hospital, the only sound that leaked was my cough, ewww, my duty mates laugh quietly by covering their mouth but with no hurt feelings, because I too, laughed at myself. The hospital personnel, said "who was that?" and I stay silent.. It was really an unforgettable experience for me, and I promise from that day on, I will never get a cough nor colds. So what I did, I get my cough treated with antibiotic augmentin as prescribed by the doctor and I always do respiratory precaution to prevent spreading my illness. I'm taking a balanced diet to have a strong immune system. After a week my cough stays away from me, and I'm so happy and relieved. Now for my prevention, I take hygienic ways, drinking and eating safe water and food, taking vitamins , like vitamin C as well said by you, and drink a lot of lukewarm water for about two to three liters per day. While you're on a travel, keep your mouth and nose covered to prevent too much inhaled of irritant particles. Be healthy and be strong, its been 2 years of having cough and cold free. I thank God for giving me good health and a happy comfortable life.

I forgot you are now cough free for 2 years. Apologies for not noticing.. By the way the incident at the hospital had been funny and humiliating at the same time. It's relieving to know that coughs can easily be eliminated.

my wife put some vapor rub on my neck and cover it with a hanky before i sleep. then put some vapor rub too on my chest and make sure i have a complete rest. there are foods she does not want me to take when i have a cough like chocolates and she make sure i have a lot of intake of hot drinks and one of that is ginger ale. i am a picky eater but she make sure i eat right so the cough will be gone easier.

what you said is true. i then applied vapor rub to dad and his cough had disappeared. in his case the chest and throat received vapor rub and not the back of the neck. he never had serious coughs until now. the frequency has diminished tremendously.

hello there, first, i go take a rest.but make sure my neck is covered first. then, waking up i would buy a cough syrup or tablet. probably buy some strepsils too, after meal, i would drink calansi tea or juice, and i make sure it's hot. i don't drink cold, most are hot rnough to burn my toungue

glad to know it works for you. we each have our own way of dealing with coughs. i had drank hot orange juice and calamansi before and i can say with confidence that i did not have any cough after. im not so sure regarding strepsils but id give it a shot if all else fails.

For chronic cough, I chew a small slice of Ginger. It is very beneficial. Since it is herbal it has no side effects.
