He turned to Islam because he did not deserve to be Christian. I have no regrets that he left and he is taking people like him after him, so let him. Christianity does not need an army of men to usher this world into kingdom of heaven but it needs only one person and that is Jesus Christ. I am sure Yusuf Estes on the judgment day would be standing on the other side of the fence.

Certainly we feel happy on these conversions b/c they have saved themselves from eternal fire....a journey from polytheism to monotheism....Mind you polytheism is the biggest and the only unforgivable sin as per the Last holy book, the Quran. And God Almighty has already punished even the real sons, wives and parents of some Holy Prophets. He had drowned in water the real son of Prophet Noah(pbuh)and did not accept the prayers of His Prophet to save his son.....All polytheists have to burn in Hell fire for ever and Prophet Jesus(pbuh)will never help such people.....

Well said, achilles. Your strong faith shines through in all your posts and is very insipring. There seems to be an understanding in Islam regarding the Trinity and the Crucixion, which are the pillars of Christanity. I think you will find this very interesting. www.answering-islam.org/Shamoun/quran_trinity.htm

I won't quote Quran but here I would quote Old Testament. It is written at Ex 3:6, "Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God." Why he was not the God of Adam, God of Noah? Why he was only the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. It means God of Adam and Noah were different to God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. Wasn't he God of Abraham's brother Haran, or his nephew Lot? You say polytheism is the biggest sin, then is it a greater sin than disobedience to God?

If Islam and Islamic counties allowed freedom or religion, what do you think would happen?

Please read about the plight of Egyptian ex-muslims here http://europenews.dk/en/node/33556. Here's a challenge for you. Walk into your local mosque or announce to your family over dinner that you are leaving Islam. If you can, please come back and tell us what happened. p.s. The Coptic Church in Egypt is an exception, probably as a means of self preservation as they are such a minority. Also, there is no proof that these people are killed. I've heard they're put in convents/monastaries until they 'repent'. Cheers

I think there would be a slow transition until the Islamic countries were more like other countries with freedom of religion. At first the converts (to other religions) would be few, and shunned, but gradually it would become more acceptable to have a difference of opinion. I think Islam is that fastest growing religion precisely because there are countries that make it law to be Muslim, and punish as crimes any deviation from their version of Islam.

Sorry, to be more clear: most religions have converts both ways: some convert to the religion from other religions, and some convert from the religion to believe in something different. Since Islam will have it`s share of converts to the religion, but far less than it`s share of converts changing to a different religion (because many Muslim countries forbid it) it will grow faster than other religions, who have followers that convert to other faiths.

Why did he accept Islam?

Because Islam has both proof and faith, and Christianity has no faith? Is that what changed him? Btw, Christianity is not about making people follow Christianity; it's about making people follow Christ. The guy says he's preacher, but he simply did not have sufficient idea of Christian faith.

Thanks for your first response to this discussion. It is very easy to find out why he embraced Islam. Please see the first video in the list given under this topic. He was just trying to convert a Muslim to Christianity but in turn was deeply influenced by the teachings and miracles of the Holy Quran......which led him to find the real truth. The Quran is the only divine Book which is being protected divinely for centuries and which has superseded all previous holy books......and this book will be implemented by Jesus(pbuh)in his IDEAL WORLD STATE and has to remain protected till the Last Day.

Well, if he was influenced was by the teachings and miracles of the Holy Quran, one cannot really argue against that. However, that does not mean the miracles and teachings are right. Whether they are right or wrong has to be dealt differently and objectively. Well, Muslims claim that Quran has superseded with all other books. But there are newer religions that claim to have superseded even Quran.
