Gosh! I hate working on weekends. I would rather work late on a weekday than work on weekends. Luckily over the last two years, I have not had a need to work over weekends. What is your take on working over weekends? Cheers! Ram

Me too ram_cv. I always reserve weekends for personal matters, just lying all day in bed or roaming around my favorite hunting ground or shooting it out in the target range. That's my idea of a great weekend. No work and all play. And I meet Monday morning with a renewed energy rain or shine!

And we have another long weekend coming up. Lets go flat out to the countryside and see whats up... and whats down. Actually they're thinking to extend the holidays to November 2. If that happens, I'm gonna miss this workplace.

I generally work over the weekends and have my days off in the week. Its good in some ways because then i can have a few nice quiet days off without going out on the busy weekends for a family day out when everyone else does. Quite alot of people don't like working over the weekends, but i do.

Sure I do, although every now and then I do get them off so it isn't all that bad and I'm hoping to change jobs very soon that will give me better hours around my children.

But most of the fun activities are scheduled for the weekend. Don't you miss out on those for e.g. sports events etc. Cheers! Ram

Given a choice, I would not want to work on weekends too. However, I am in a job that requires me to work Saturday morning. We attempt to change many times to put in an extra hour daily and have the Saturday off, but my boss never agrees. I just find that if I go back to work on non working weekends, I find work happier compared to going back on weekends to work.

I do and I hate it. I work a full time job during the week where I often work 9 or 10 hour days. On Saturdays I have a part time job working 12 hours doing Concierge work. I have been doing this for about a year and a half. It really takes a toll on you - I am tired all the time and cannot usually go out on Friday or Saturday night. I also work online writing articles, my own website, and sites like this. I believe that we can all do what ever it takes to survive. I hope I am setting a good example for my kids. Never give up - there is always a way.

That seems to be too much work you are doing. I hope you do take out time to chill yourself every now and then else there is a serious danger of burning out!! Cheers! Ram

Ram Me too an Indian , however, i have no family and no girlfriend. My friends are all busy with their girlfriends or family . I am left with no option then to get drunk and stick to my computer. However, this has given me a advantage over the rest. I earn a lot and since no expenses of outings , i save a lot . I have been a lot rich since the last 2 years of my break off !

Even I don't like to work on weekends, a most common answer I guess. I also try to complete my work on weekdays. There have been odd weekend where I had to work. Last I remember is when our company gave holiday next day of Ayodhya verdict and compensated that with a working day on Saturday.

Same here. It's terrible having to wake up early for work on weekends! It's even worse if I've to turn up for only a few hours' work (and in the late afternoon) - you can't do much with the rest of the day! It's such a waste of a weekend day!

No, I don't at my current job. I used to have jobs where I had to work weekends in the past though. I didn't really mind it that much to be honest, it was okay. But I haven't done it for years now...

I have no job of my own except for these money making programs. Though if that would be compared to my real work which is school -- yes. It does sticks a bunch especially that it's weekend! I already spent the last 60 hours in school and now I'm suppose to be enjoying a happy weekend with my family! Hope this counts.. and hopefully, I do hope it would answer your question :D Cheers and have a great day. -Jaja
