I am trying to upgrade my Limewire. Here is what I got: This is an official notice that LimeWire is under a court-ordered injunction to stop distributing and supporting its file-sharing software. Downloading or sharing copyrighted content without authorization is illegal. Could it be the end of limewire?

Aside from illegal activities? No, that is the only reason it can be stopped! Try forstwire! I am using that now, but not as good as limewire! Fewer results.

I don't really sure if limewire has stopped it p2p operation. I have used their software last month and I still get music. I have also heard comment fro a friend of mine that used limewire in the past that everytime he uses limewire his computer lag. This might be the reasons. They are shutting down.

normally the end for these kind of services such as peer-to-peer or files sharing starts a sso!!They are under court-injunction so they will say everything is ok but normally not at all!!If you consider other services like that really popular as napster, piratbay, edonkey, morpheus and so on..

Hello Damned_Idle. It's one of the oldest downloading share kind of files and documentations that i have used in years. but it has caused me greatly in terms of unwanted viruses and malware programs. i agree that some are actually illegal but what is more fun than downloading illegal stuff in the NET. Ihave stopped using limewire since i changed my Operating System from WIndows to Linux.
