Do you think it's better to dream big or deam within your limits?

I think we all have those times where we daydream about doing what seems to be impossible, or achieving things that such a little amount of people have achieved already. We all just have those fantasies that just feel nice to dream about, even if we think they won't come true. Then again, the people who DO dream big and act on those dreams, are probably the people we look up to today. I often notice when I'm dreaming about working for a fashion magazine, or being a CEO, or looking like a supermodel, I realize...Wow...I haven't even accomplished goals that are achievable...I haven't even gotten my license yet, graduated college, etc etc...So maybe I should be dreaming about those things instead! Do you think it is healthier to dream as big as the world, or to dream within your limits in order to motivate you to complete the goals you already have? Do you think it would be better to dream within your limits because you have a better chance at achieving that goal, and getting the great accomplished feeling afterward?

I often dream big, But then I realize that I am just dreaming. That's why I limit it and be realistic. But I can't help but dream sometimes. It makes me happy. I dream of being famous and living a life of fame and glamor. But it only serves as my inspiration that I have to strive hard to achieve the dream.

This is also true. I think day dreaming can be very therapeutic especially for someone who is under a lot of stress. I know when I daydream at work it makes my day go by a lot faster! I just need to make sure I don't let it interfere with my performance.

Dream BIG! It's better not to limit yourself because you actually don't know your own limitations! You never know what you can and can't do until you try. Perserverence is the key! You gotta try, no matter what it is. I dream big and I will accomplish them because I am determined (and maybe stubborn ;)).

That is such a cool way of looking at it! I bet that's true that a lot of us don't know our limits, because we've never pushed ourselves far enough to see what those limits are. I bet a lot of us don't even have limits, and we just imagine that we do. I heard a quote once that said, "A good girl knows her limits. A real girl knows she has none."

Always dream big and believe that everything is achievable! If you dream about becoming a super star, have this big image in your mind and then think about small steps that you can take to get there. Like start taking vocal classes, record demo songs, learn how to dance, upload video on YouTube, partisipate in karaoke nights, go to talent contests and so on. You need to have your Big goal in your head all the time, but you need to act on small steps as soon as possible.

Part of me says that I should let myself dream big. However, part of me also says that if I do not dream at all, I will not be disappointed when nothing happens, and here lately, nothing is exactly what has been happening in my life. Although, nothing really bad has happened in my life lately, so I guess that is a good thing. I guess I can't complain.

Dreams either big or simple both can inspire a person. But sometimes the only difference is its effect. Dreaming big sometimes, makes us tired even without fulfilling it yet. And dreaming within limits sometimes delimited our capablities to aim for better. But to answer the question, I would prefer to dream first within my limits. When it materialized and fulfilled, it will inspired me more to strive harder to make it big. I mean step by step, instead of having a big dream and find out it would be impossible to attain, it might only put me in a low self esteem. Why would I dream of being a CEO of a prestigious company when I know I did not even have an education? Why not instead put up a simple business and take effort and my abilities to make it successful and that would possibly brings me the opportunity of being a CEO of my own company. It depends on the person's perspective and capability.

I think its better to dream big because that way you'll aim higher, as they say aim for the moon, even if you fail you'll land among the stars. I think its better to attempt the big goal then to always look back and wonder "i wonder if i could have done it"

For me its better to dream big but you know there is a way to get it in real. This is just a guide for me to make me feel that i need to work hard if i had a dream. It drives me into a positive outlook in life and always inspired to get what i dream. In dreaming there is no limitation. You can dream what big it is as you want. But in making this things real is the subject. How to achieve that dream. Now, because i want be like this and that i need to think ways how to do it. Better to do and work to achieve my goal. My goal is a part of my dream. So for me i like to dream achievable.

I think it is good to dream as big as your imagination will let you! But then you have to come back down to earth and set realistic goals. It's okay if those goals are stepping stones to achieve a way out there dream!

Keep your dreams alive by never forgetting what they are. Never stop wanting and wishing for what you want and don't ever stop trying to make your dreams a reality. There are some dreams that may only ever be just a dream but there are some that can become a possibility and made to come true. Some day, some how, some where. If not, and then they are to remain only a dream then its not so bad. By remembering it you are still keeping your dream alive if even only relived in your head once and awhile. You look into the future setting a time you wish to have your dream come true and you don't give up trying to reach it. Look ahead and don't let go and one day may your dreams come alive, making way for new ones.

Dream Big! Dream the biggest dream you can dream. You can never know what your limit is unless you try to dream big. If for example you were meant to be a CEO of a big company, but you only dream of becoming a middle manager because that is what you think you can do, then you will work your bu*t off to become that middle manager. If you succeed, you become the middle manager! If you fail, you remain a clerk. But,if you dream of becoming a CEO, and work really hard for it, you may succeed, and become the CEO, or fail and be a VP, or a middle manager, or a clerk. The bottom line is, you can never know what your limits are until you dream of the biggest dream.

Having a dream is something to aspire to. i say if you have a dream, it should be dynamic. it should be as big as you want it to be. if you dream within your limits, it won't be as big of a rush when it comes true.

I think it is always better to dream big, because if you dream small, you might not even achieve those small goals, but if you dream big, you will get so much further in life. So I do not see the point of dreaming small at all, to be honest. The goals you mentioned are goals that are easily achievable but I am sure you don't want that to be all you do, so keep dreaming big! There can be no harm in it!

It's better to dream big with determining a time as your limit, so you'll know when you should stop to dream big. I believe if it's meant to be ours, it will find its way and we'll feel your dream comes true smoothly. But if we're suffered very much without any certainty, there's no point we would get.
