I think that Christians think that gays and lesbians are evil.In the bible this sort of behavior is strictly prohibited and not allowed.I do however think that if the person gives up this behavior after realizing the wrong that they have committed I feel that god will forgive the person of their sins and wrong doings.People who are gays or lesbians have made their choose and if they choose to do this they should be aware of the consequences and they will have to face god during judgment day and beg for forgiveness.

I have a small problem with your statement here. Can you tell me where in the Bible this sort of behavior is strictly prohibited and not allowed. I can't seem to find it. If it is not prohibited in the Bible does that mean that it is not evil? How about slavery? Is it evil? It is allowed in the Bible and rules are presented as to who you can make a slave and how they are to be treated. Is it time we reinstitute the time honored tradition of slavery? To make your judgments based on a literal interpretation of the Bible is a dangerous thing. If you follow it strictly you're going to end up in jail.

I have many friends who are homosexual (and possibly some of my friends are without me knowing it). I find that there is NO difference between these people and 'straight' people with regard to integrity, basic morality or any of the other qualities which go to make a good person and a good, trustworthy friend. If anything, gays tend to be slightly more caring and capable of showing love and humankindness than many others. If I were a member of any Christian community, I would be happy and proud to share worship with them because I know that their lifestyle (which is NOT one they chose, though it may be one which they have chosen to accept) is already likely to have caused them to find the answers to many questions and to think more deeply than most about who they are and why - especially in relation to God. There are some Christian communities who believe that homosexuality is irrevocably wrong, according to the way that they interpret Scripture. There are many other churches, however, who are quite able to welcome gays into their communities for who they are as living, loving people. It is important to realise - especially if your background is non-Christian - that there is no unified 'Christian' view on the matter, any more than there is on many other topics. There are, however, some very bigoted people who choose to call themselves 'Christians'. My personal view is that, however much they follow the letter of the Bible, they have often failed to listen to the spirit of Jesus' message.

"I would be happy and proud to share worship with them ..." By 'them', I mean homosexuals, of course.

Whatever bible may say, and christian might repeat I do not think Jesus himself hated gays and lesbians. Didn't he save Mary Madelene when people wanted to stone her for being a harlot? Jesus personally never hated sinners though he said about them that they would never enter the kingdom of heaven. Does anyone hates a pig just because he lolls in muck, or does anyone hate lion because he eats a man. They do so because it is their nature. Likewise whatever gays and lesbians do they do so because it is their nature. All you can do is to pray for them that they may turn from their despicable ways.

Well, I am a Roman Catholic, but I don't see anything wrong with gays or lesbians. As long as they don't do anything against my will and rights; I don't have beef with them. I don't see the point of belittling gays or lesbians. They are actually human also and they should also be given a chance to live a normal life.
