Today I was irritated when the phone of the other passenger in the public bus rang then she answered and talk very loud that every passenger is staring her as it sounded really loud that the conversation is so clear where I can also hear the person in the other line saying stop screaming at me.I don't know but somehow I felt irritated that time.So have you experience this before?Did you feel irritated or it's alright?

I don't do that too and if someone call me in public,I just answer it and tell I will call back when I'm home then that will be better.

Yes, I hate those attention seekers, insensitive manners of people doing like that in a public place! Anything private should at least be done privately. I once had a similar encounteer with some people in a bus, mall or any public area. Making their phone's ring tone to the highest level and shouting like they want the whole world to know it! Come on. What is their problem ? People like those doesnt know where to put their manners so annoying and very disgusting attitude. Much more in a place where it is understandably no cellphones allowed or turning it off, perhaps a penalty should be imposed for them to realize that they are not just the ones who live in this planet.

I agree with you,I think I will consider that she's shouting if I can see some device in her ears which means she have ear problem then that can be consider but the fact that she is normal and can hear well,it's irritating and indeed very disturbing with the people around.

I definitely do get irritated if someone stands close by and shouts on the cellphone. More worse are those in the office who come out of their cubicles to a place near your cubicle and then talk loudly on their phones. On some occassion I ask them to move some where else to continue their talk on the phone!! Cheers! Ram

I have not had this exact experience, however, people can talk on their phones very loudly. I do find that annoying especially in public places. Libraries and such now require you to limit cell phone use in their facilities. I try to go outside to answer my phone when I am in public. Even then I try to keep my voice at a minimum!

Ya at times situations like these become really irritating but at times the conversations we over hear are hilarious. I remember once, a boy called his colleague and said that it will take him 2 hours to reach the office but asked his colleague to tell the officials that he will be there in an hour. Then he called his mom and said he is in the office lift though he was travelling in metro!

I don't get irritated, but that's just because I'm not easily irritated. It is, however, very rude to carry on a conversation that loudly in a public location. Rule of thumb should be, if you don't want others to join in a be a part of your conversation, don't make it so they can't help but be in it!

hbi insulin Yes I get relly angry.this was in the ladies room at Sears and this woman said loudly, to me so I thought, do you ever see those teens doing that here in the store? I was baffled but I rerplied I am not sure what you mean maam? Then she almosts yells, Edna some nut is eavesdropping on our conversation. AS I was saying those teens are" about that time I sl unk out of there really fast, embarrassed that I did not realize she was screaming to Edna on her cell phone. So I guess I was a bit of a nut thinking someone in a toilet who could not s ee me was talking to me. lol

I don't like that kind of experience. Though I am interested to know what's happening, but all the screaming is not necessary when they are in public. They need not wash their dirty linen in public in full view of people around. At the end of it, they are the ones feeling embarassed about it. On top of that, with today's technology, everything can be uploaded to the Internet and let it spread. I have seen alot of such examples happening already. I feel for the ones in the videos.

Yes those people are very annoying but the ones I hate are the ones with the blue tooth headsets you can't see that come up behind you talking and sometimes you turn thinking they are talking to you. Cellphones are totally great for a lot of things but also a pain when it comes to others. Got to love technology..

Hi! I'm just new here...as I was browsing for topics that I could post a response, I saw this topic. :D And my answer is YES, it really is irritating. some people are just to insensitive to be unmindful of other people most especially when they are in a public place. I had encountered the same situation as yours, and at times, I have a hard time ignoring them.

I have had the same experience before. At that time I came to the end of my patience. That woman you have said making a phone call in bus was really self-assured and supercilious. Her behavior violated the social morality.

Yes, sometimes I do. They are mobile phones, and the other person on the line can hear you perfectly without shouting.

hello insulin! i, not only get irritated by people who talk too loud on their mobile phones while in the public area but i am also irritated by those people who can't minimize the volume of their cellphone during mass, conventions and meetings. These people often let their cellphones ring so loudly for sometime before answering it. and they talk too loud too..for everyone to hear. i do understand that some are deaf and can't hear too well but that's no excuse. for i am deaf sometimes, caused by stress by the more i am deaf=tone, the more i am cautious about talking so loud in public places so as not to disturb other people. it's just a matter of respect to other people..it's a matter of one's attitude really.

Hi Insulin! Yes, I get irritated but I'm just thinking maybe that person is deaf that is why she or he talks loud, lol. When I think that way, I don't get irritated as much.

Yes, at times people are too loud that you get bothered. I would probably ask him to keep his voice down. But, they don't normally do that. :)

no it's not alright...ill be irritated too if i was there... why didn't she tell the person on the other line to call back cause she's on the bus..i always do that when someone calls me while im on a ride....some people are having there so-called "drama sa kinabuhe or life's drama when they're on a bus or on jeepneys..it's the only time where they can focus and think of the things ahead....i dont wanna distract them..and i think that woman needs a break or a punch in a face..KSP!! hahahaha..
