I just have signed up for the site. I'm starting to apply for job/s and have rated myself $10 per hour. Some employers mention that they'll look into those applicants who charge less... is $10/hour to much? if so, how much shall i charge /hour in average. can you share your thoughts on how to get hired easy... and any suggestions on how to make it big time on that site. :)

I just lost my appetite for ODesk. Actually I have joined ODesk a year ago and I priced my hour just like $8 an hour. No ones been hiring me even though I already posted there that I am a good programmer in C, C++, Java, PHP, ASP, mySQL. So what I did is just to leave it alone. LOL

it all depends on how much experience and ratings you have. Now if you're just new at oDesk, i guess that you can charge at a much lower rate so possible employers will hire you.

I am probably not the right guy to advice you anything when it comes to freelancing sites as I have never bagged a single project on any of those...but let me tell you one thing...you should not under price yourself. There is always fees, transaction charges, currency conversion and God knows what that are going to eat up into your income!
