butter or cheese?

My girl friends' birthday is coming soon. I am planning to bake a cake for her. We'll I am quite excited on that day because I want to surprise her. mmmm... I'm choosing between butter cake or cheese cake. Can you give me an advise which one is better to be baked...Thanks Guys!

i never really heard of butter cake ,butter cookies yes but cake no so i would go with what i know.i would definetly say cheesecake its a delcious treat and its pretty simple to make. just make sure your girlfriend isnt allergic to dairy or any of the ingredients. Best of luck!

me too, I have never heard of it. But comparing the health benefit I will choose cheese cake, it will give you calcium and it is so delicious too. And it is not that sweet too. You can also try different variiety of cheese cake. You can make strawberry cheese cake, banana cheese cake, chocolate cheese cake etc.

Hi. just_obeth. Welcome to myLot! I think that you should bake a cheesecake instead. It seems so much more yummier. I have never heard of butter cake before. It may be too plain. Spice her party up some and bake a cheesecake instead. I think that this would be a better choice.

I will choose the cheese cake because it seems that many girls are afraid of the fat from the butter. Whereas people enjoy eating cheese. And girls love cheese cake. I love China

i like butter because it's easier to think of what icing to put on. if it's cheese it would only like bread for me.

Hello just_obeth. you can try making both in smaller portions if you can't decide which to make. Or if you want to try baking a butter cake at the bottom/crust of a cheesecake that would be nice also. The advantages of making a cheesecake is that you can have fun and choose what ever flavour you have in mind. you can make blueberry cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake, oreo cheesecake or whatever you have in mind. Goodluck on baking this special cake for your girlfriend!
