I have worked on my first position for seven months. During this time, my boss have told us collegues that he will treat us a big meal more than three times. But he never carry out a promise. So now, we won't hope that he will really do that when he promise us something. How do you think of this boss? What about your boss?

Thankfully no. I do not see myself getting along with such a superior. I value transparency and truthfulness in any relationship including professional ones. So if my superior keeps breaking his/her promise, I would not be continuing to work for that person for long. Cheers! Ram

That is not good on your bosses part, as it is almost like saying you will be rewarded then you do not get the reward. Next time your boss says he will be springing for lunch, I would ask may I ask on what date as I will then not make lunch arrangements. The day the lunch is suppose to take place I would ask if lunch is still happening or should you make other arrangements

I feel bad about what happened with you. lol.. Its not that the bosses forget it, its just that no one reminds them of it. it just slips out of their mind... and ya bosses believe in procrastinating... ALWAYS.. :)
