Each year we change our time one hour forward for Spring and one hour back for Autumn. I understand why this is done, but it certianly upsets my system for about a week. How well do you adjust to this custom?

I think the changes are to allow the work day to contain as much sunshine as possible during the year.

We do the same in Bulgaria and its normal for me. Doesn't upset me at all. I usually work when i want to and sleep when i want to, so it's not a problem for me, it doesn't affect my plans at all. I can't hide that i like the sunrise aroud 6 in the morning, but in the winter its dark that time.. It's o.k. I've worked different jobs and for one of them i had to get up around 4:30 a.m, to drink a coffee, to travel nearly half an hour and to be at work in 7:00 am, but i always was taking earlier bus, because buses early in the morning are more empty. I can say that early morning time is my favorite - fresh air, silence, no too much cars, no people, just calmness.

Our time here is stable. But when I go for holidays, I need to adapt to the country's time and that need a little adjustment to sleeping and eating time.

We have three different time zones in our country. It can make for confusion if you are not aware of these. From West Coast to East Coast there are 3 hours difference.

It's a stupid thing and I think we should stop it. It was originally instituted so that people could work with more daylight on their farms, I think. I'm all messed up for a couple of days and it didn't help when I tuned into a radio show and heard the host say the clocks have been turned forward. It's a funny routine, really. He said when something scares us we spring back and when we fall we try to fall forward to catch ourselves. He's right! But it made me panic a little. He apparently pulls the same stunt every year and confuses and entertains a lot of people that way.

I am doing very well in the morning..but in the evening..well..it's been a little tougher. I am wanting to go to bed early but the problem is that nothing has changed but what time it is..lol..we need to make it mandatory to adjust classes, appointments, and work to fit into the new time..lol.

Moving backwards in the fall really doesn't mess with me all that much except that it is a shock to my system that it gets dark so early in the evening. It seems like my daughter has just gotten home from school and it is already getting dark on us. However, in the spring when we move forward, it really wreaks havoc on my system. There are times that I really don't even think that I will make it through that particular time change.

It does not really affect me at all. All i have to do is to remember to set my clocks either back an hour or ahead an hour. I like the idea of more sleep in the fall. I am always a fan of that. It does not affect my tv time because I really dont watch to much tv. I am always on the internet.

Hi savypat, I feel that I adjust fairly well, especially in the fall, since we gain rather than lose an hour's sleep. Blessings.

Yeah it messes up my internal system for a few days to a week. I keep thinking I should get ready to do this or that but I have an extra hour til I can do what I need to do. Wich then they say oh you get an hour more of sleep, well just last night... but it certainly makes the days seems to drag til you adjust.

Hi pat~ I would have agree with you. It does take a bit of getting used to for a bit. My gf and I were out yesterday and she was driving me back to my apartment from hers and it was just a little after 5:00PM and we both noticed the difference in time change already. It was almost completely dark! When we were driving to her place I was commenting on the sun being in our eyes and it seemed just a bit early for that and it was 3:00PM. It was just a weird feeling all day long.

If you are talking about daylight saving we had a three year trial here then it was put to the vote and people voted against it so that was the end of it for good. I am not against it but I prefer it to be light early because I am usually up before dawn I can take it or leave it. I do agree that it takes a little while to adjust...

We do that in our country too. It doesn't really make a difference to me, because most of my things automatically change the time one hour. And it happens when I'm asleep so by the time I wake up the time doesn't matter to me; since everyone and everything else in my country goes by the new time it's easy to adjust. Daylights savings time was never a problem for me. One hour isn't that bad.
