Renewing things, that you would normally forget

I had to renew my blue badge last week before it had ran out. What fun that was.I had a form turn up and it had a few pages in it that i was not sure if i needed to fill in.Anyway i wrote a cheque out for the £2 that i had to send along with two photos that i had to get taken, then i laid the other paper work that they required with it.Then i rang them to ask what bit i had to fill in,to my surprise it was one page and signature on the back.I also had to send my old badge back as it is against the law to have two.A lady rang last week just to see why i had returned my badge as it had a week left on it that i could use and i said that i was not going to the hospital for two weeks so they could have it.She is now rushing my new badge through,as it notmally takes 4 weeks to do.

It is nice that the lady is rushing the new badge through for you so you will have it. Some people are so nice and easy to work with while others are such a bunch of jerks. and just can't understand how to be easy and nice. I am glad you met up with one that was nice and got it all situated.

In less than a week and my blue badge was here.I think that you are right there are some people that will try to help you as much as they can, then there are some other people that are not at all helpful.I am soo happy and i am pleased to know that there are people out there that do want to help people.

Now that you mention, I do have to replace my passport. This will take a good few weeks, and is likely to cost me around £70- or a day's wages. So I had better get some overtime in when available!

I think that it is awful when we have to try to remember all these things that need to be renewed, there are lots of things that we could easily forget about renewing.Thankfully my new blue badge is here,so this means that i can use it right away.I am soo pleased.

I always remember to renew my car licence and my Barnes and Noble card. That card comes in handy during the month of December.

I am really happy that my blue badge is here already in less than a week, considering it takes four weeks normally to come through.I am really happy that i can use it right away.I am happy that there are people out there that do take the time to help people out, when they need it.I have all of my bills done by direct debit, that way i never forget my bills, also they are always paid on time each and every month.

I'm glad to know that they are working on rushing your new badge to you. This sounds like the kind of mistake that I would make. You see, it is easy to make mistakes when we are renewing things that we wouldn't ordinarily have to renew. I actually tend to have a problem when it is time to renew my driver's license because of the fact that I have to go and do it in person and it always seems like it is very difficult to fit getting over to the DMV into my schedule.

Sometimes it is like this that we know certain things are really important and we put it off to find later that now we are crunched for time. Good thing they rushed the processing as it would have been a very long wait.

I agree with celticeagle. It was nice of this lady to take care of this for you. Not many people would be this understanding. This way, you don't have to wait 4 weeks.

I forgot to renew my driver's license this year and I didn't realize it was expired until I got a letter from the state of Alabama about it. They used to send notices through the mail when it was time to renew it. I guess it got expensive due to postage so they quit sending them out. I had to get that taken care of right away!

Was that your handicapped placard? In the US we don't have to send pictures in, they just want the money! I think the doctor has to sign something that you are still disabled. I don't remember, it has been a few years since I had to replace mmine. Now that I think about it, I should check when it expires. If you are a member of AAA (an auto club) you can get it much faster.

I'm always forgetting about things, especially when it comes to renewal. Luckily, i'm not driving, if not i'm going to be in lots of trouble, when road tax are expiring as well as insurance and others. What badge is that u have and why is it illegal to have more than one? Do u need it even for hospital? That's new to me.
